Interestingly, Ange said after the game that he was playing Richy LW because of his injury he has restricted movement and it was easier for him to play LW than ST.

Now he’s had surgery and seems back to mobility, him up top and Sonny LW works nicely.

Ouch indeed although at least none of those fixtures are big big clashes against top4/5 teams, if Richy stays fit and has now found his scoring boots and we can get Bentancur and Maddison back early to mid Jan as well as perhaps the likes of Solomon we might just scrape through but still will be a very very tough time and will test us even more than we've been tested without MAddison, VDV, Romero etc lately.

They aren’t stupid though are they. The Euros isn’t a stupid tournament and neither are these. Europe needs to respect that other parts of the world operate on different timetables.

What FIFA/UEFA should do is schedule a group of international qualifiers during the same period. Play 4-5 games whist the AFCon and Asia cup are being played rather than have them spread out over the season. So all the top leagues can take a longer pause.

That would make FAR too much sense. They could even do it every year. Have set months/ 6 weeks for international fixtures instead of the stop start nature of the current international schedule.
