Single child?I was feeling left out. I just wanted a shout out.
I'm a big Traore fan and have been banging his drum for a while, but i think it's unfair to make a direct comparison between these two. Traore is much quicker, more direct and probably scares teams more but Bergwijn is the more well-rounded player. Decent pace, decent dribbling ability, better vision etc. That's not to say he's 'necessarily better' but those expecting a Traore-type player will be surprised.
The comparison to Zaha above isn't bad. This lad is a smoother Zaha in my view.
Honestly, I don’t think Traore is faster than Bergwijn.
Obviously Traore is a lot stronger, but not faster. Bergwijn has better acceleration, for sure.
We've given new contracts to Alderweireld and Sissoko recently who are both 30, so not sure why you think a couple of 28 year olds will be moved on.
You are correct there! But Steven is rapid. Probably few inches slower. But the way he uses his body etc, is far superior to Traore who I rate highly. Plus he is far more consistent and clinical. Only 21?No chance. Traore's acceleration is absolutely off the charts. He just breezes past players like they aren't there.
They've been two of our best players where as Lucas blows hot and cold and Lamela spends the majority of each season on the treatment table. Which other of our wide forward players would make way for a McNeil or Bowen when we already seem to be bringing in Bergwijn? Son? Best time to sell either of those two players would be this summer.

Bergwijn is the sort of signing that the likes of Leicester, Wolves or Bournemouth make at the price which is currently offered to us, goes on to perform well for them, leaving us watching and wondering "Why didn't we go for him at that price?"
I am for one excited to see him on board.
