There wasn’t a single critic on here when we were linked with him. Everyone was creaming themselves when we bought him. Had it fallen through I reckon a lot on here would’ve been trying to lynch Levy
True, it was an emotional time. The club's social media even created that pic of Dembele greeting Tanguy, like passing the baton. It was so touching. Then Tanguy signed the contract and his joy flowed out of his body like the ink flowed out of that pen

We even had a supporter called "The Legend of Tanguy", or something like that, and I haven't seen a post from that person in ages.

Nottingham Forest interested in loan with obligation but he's not interested. Galatasaray interested but been said before he doesn't want turkey. Picky fucker for a lad who has failed in England, Italy and in a return to France.

Too bad. Forest could possibly be good for him. He could reunite with Aurier and probably play without any real pressure.

I think he will only go back to France tbh. Hopefully Rennes want him.
Lo Celso wanted to go back to Spain but the interested clubs couldn't afford him. He's on considerably less than Ndombele.

Rennes' highest earner is on £50k a week. Even on a free I doubt they can afford him.

It sounds like he has checked out, especially if the Forest option is serious. Possibly only wants a return to France.

He definitely has to go down as one of our worse signings in recent memory. What a waste.

This is our problem in getting out players in a nutshell.

I'm 100% sure we'll get him out the club in one way or another by the end of the transfer window but he's totally entitled to sit tight and see what options reveal themselves in the next couple of weeks. That's probably the same for all our other players - they don't need to rush and take the first offer that presents itself. Meanwhile we're left with an extremely bloated squad which is hindering our ability to make any new signings.

There wasn’t a single critic on here when we were linked with him. Everyone was creaming themselves when we bought him. Had it fallen through I reckon a lot on here would’ve been trying to lynch Levy
Nobody on here is responsible for due diligence, though, are we? I’d do it if someone paid me the silly money, but I’d rather rage against the idiots who actually endorsed the purchase. Coz I’m a bastard like that.

One of our worse totally understates it

I can only really go by bits I've read and seen, which will always be limited.

I can feel excited by a signing without knowing much about the player.

I like to think the club and manager do more due diligence than my simple reaction to a purchase.

As I've posted a few times, nobody will be paying us a fee . Loan at best and if Rennes can be persuaded to pay him £50k per week , it's better than nothing .

Yep. But the post I was responding was talking about Rennes buying him. As you and I say that isn't an option.
