He makes the pass immediately his vision is brilliant.Quick and Incisive!
He isn't the regular soldier that Poch wants at his feet.

Yeah. Pochettino has never had such a player. A lot of our players under him have been hard working and functional, we've never had a "magician".

I'm glad you said that because I never thought Eriksen was one and I am one of the few
Modric was,Gazza was and there have been others but Poch doesnt value that aspect that's why we have signed too few.
Liverpool stock up on them as do City.

And Berbatov!

Hard working and functional is a perfect description of the Liverpool midfield. No magicians in there.

True but they make up for it with great full-backs and a cohesive front three. Something we got right for a few seasons as well. I now genuinely think we have bottom half/relegation standard full-backs and our attacking players have no chemistry bar a moment of magic here and there or a counter-attack,

They have a magic team..they manage to get all the pressing etc in too and know how to string together passes that create goals

Poch always tries to deflect this kind of stuff off of individual players and onto the squad. It's such a non-story, but so many have their knickers in a twist and are so eager to jump on anything he says now that it's become a thing.
You know what would have cured all ills? Poch being at the helm for an extended run of great (or even just satisfactory) performances and results over the course of the last year, rather than being at the helm for an extended run of dreadful performances and results. I'm pretty sure that there would have been fewer people picking bones with him over an interview answer like this one if he hadn't been presiding over a slowly sinking ship for so long now.

A moment that seems to capture Pochettino's current mood.
When asked about Ndombele seeming to make a positive contribution after coming on, Pochettino replied: "A big difference. Doing what?"

This is unforgivable. Sack Poch now. Toxic, toxic wanker.

Blimey, did he really say that lol.

Ndombele might look lost in Pochs system because Poch may want to play him the way Dembele played but when Ndombele gets the ball there isn't another player on the field (maybe apart from Kane) that knows immediately what he wants to do with the ball.
The problem is that Poch's system is bigger than anything. He caters his system to put in round pegs in square holes as he doesn't have the creativity to use the player to the best of their abilities.
Such is the case with NDombele. If Poch used NDombele instead of Eriksen, Kane and Son would be the happiest of campers. In that case I think NDombele would need a DM (lets say Dier) and a CM (lets say Winks) behind him.
Its not all about the system the players need to have quality and the will to make shit work.

Maybe Pochettino has been after such players but was given seconds and third choices who nows. He insisted on Ndombele and Lo Celso this time around was willing to wait.

I think that's being slightly unfair on our forwards, there's still a lot of cohesion between Son, Kane, Dele, Lamela, I'd say, but these things take time and consistency which is why I hope going forwards Ndombele and Lo Celso start matches consistently along side Kane and Son. The 5th player in that group, I'm not sure who it should be, probably Lamela or Dele

It's being presumptuous to suggest even he had seconds or thirds in players. We don't know that.
I do know one thing if Poch had the goods he would if insisted he gets a certain level of player.
The top managers demand as much in respect for themselves. They wouldnt settle for what Poch may or nit have settled for.
He isnt a victim of all of this. His judgement has been iffy even if he was over achieving with us. It's what the best managers expect. Does Poch have the goods?
We dont know
He hasn't shown great acumen in games.
Setting up his system, getting players fit all that he is good at. But winners are winners.

What us all that palaver about Poch and his five year plan. What did expect in 5 years?
What did he expect in another 5 years?
What did Levy expect?

We know what we expected

They've been plenty examples of Tottenham not getting first choice Grealish was the last Aurier wasn't first choice nor was Janssen.
You read people's post I swear many are jumping on the bandwagon... You'd think Pochettinho is clueless plays one way and can't effect games with subs. The narrative he can only work with Kids who listen to his instructions he's been playing senior pros throughout being at Tottenham. Pochettinho is still a young manager his biggest job has been Spurs people talk about winning trophies etc.. you need to spend money, theres no other way bar Leicester don't be fooled.

Guy just looks so classy on the ball. Crucially, he is looking leaner to me.and so hopefully well on the way to getting to peak fitness. Absolutely has to start next weekend alongside Sissoko. Winks needs benching.
