It seems that Jose has found one for us as he put Fernandes on in the last 10 minutes at Watford so we may not have to wait too long to see him start a game so a glimmer of hope a newly signed player actually ready to play from the off.

May be a smidge premature to compare Tanguy with Pogba. The latter is well known to be petulant and a nuisance behind the scenes. All that we know about Tanguy is that he's perhaps not doing enough to get himself into playing shape. Or so the theory goes.

We need to give the lad time. I hope he hits the ground running after our mid-winter break. He'll get a solid run of games and start to find his rhythm. Once that happens, we have the making of a very solid midfield with him and Lo Celso and possibly Gedson too.

I assume "mercurial" comes from having taken mercury, and therefore having a bit of Bohemian madness in you. The bonus being you are also free of syphilis.

I always thought it was more the Zidane, Taarabet, Zaha type of players where as Essien was more robust and had more of a high intelligence game in terms of positioning, interceptions. Also I realise the 3 players I listed were far apart in skill level but it was that unpredictability with their footwork to pull off incredible moves.
