Stop right there.

It's very simple he needs to be playing game after game. I honestly can not understand Mourinho only playing Ndombele in certain moment during games ie when we're chasing, losing with 15-20 mins left that mindless action needs to stop. He should be starting games until then it's pretty unfair to judge cameos

I don't disagree with this at all, but again as I said there is something that we don't know about affecting him. I don't think it's merely being lazy or unfit, there could be underlying issues we don't know about.

If he starts games then we will have to make a sub at 45 minutes, which no manager in their right mind wants to do.

True... However we need to be careful with such speculation surroundings mental health imo.

I see it like this ..his a young boy in a new culture, new league, different pace, management changed, team not playing well, injuries, and lack of match fitness.

By all accounts his still staying with Sissokos family that could be a good bad or maybe situation and his English needs to improve

I get some will say that's a lot of excuses and for 60M will expect more but can anyone tell me, has there been a better 25-30 min of a master class performance than what we saw first half against Bayern Munich from Ndombele? He is a baller

There's absolutely no doubt he has the talent to play every game, but he must earn the right to be a starter. Last night he showed much more committment and willingness to get stuck and he needs to show that consistently. For my money, he needs to be doing that off the bench to begin with and show that he can make an impact. Hopefully that leads to consistent starts but for now he needs to demonstrate a willingness to knuckle down and earn back the respect that has been lost recently.

I am a fan but he either directly creates wins but creating more goals or he comes back and doesn't leave us exposed (and tackle). just show Just showing pretty dribbling and passing (he has made some fantastic passes) he needs to make sure it all ends up with goals if he doesn't want to come back and fight. Others can support the defence but the only way he can get the fans on his side is to do one or the other and I would suggest coming back and fighting for the ball will get him a huge backing from the fans. I don't think its the fitness at all. I don't think you can do those great runs and he does turns and twists etc without being fit. Let him use 50% of the fitness to defend.
If you are a creative person you better do some nuts and bolts work otherwise you go nowhere

Mourinho played two holding midfield players at home to Norwich in a cup tie... . Let that register! and only played Ndombele when we were chasing the win.

I get what you're saying but I feel especially with such a big signing from the club we could manage the situation better.

I think its a head trip now. Mourinho will not allow NDombele to dictate how we play the game (Im sure Poch felt the same) So unless he came on and just took everyones breath away and we win big in the short time he is allowed to play I don't think Mourinho will respect him and maybe even in this case wont respect NDombele, if he doesn't want to fight on the defensive side. Him putting NDombele in as more of a defender at the end gives a clue. He wants him to tackle not just dazzle.

He came on and tackled but the game wasn't crying out for tackles... (we had Skipp and Winks) as I saw it we needed more quality and control.
I really felt sorry for Dele Alli he was doing so much donkey work, instead of doing what he does best making rans getting onto the end of quality balls he was a frustrated figure.

I wouldn't feel sorry for Dele he needed to take advantage of the situation without Son and Kane being the star he is (apart from the donkey work)

Fred at United is a prime example of writing players off too soon, he even made the worst team of the PL last season. Look at his fortunes now, arguably United's best midfielder this season.

Don't be quick to pull the trigger boys.

Ndombele has almost the opposite problem to Fred. On the ball he looks great and does some great stuff. Off the ball he is genuinely laughable. Surely he can be fixed though.

Thought he was better last night at least he looked to have more energy.
I think it's more head than physical
When he has moved forward he twists and turns does somersaults etc
Coming back is a chore.
I don't think intends to be like that
He is wired that way as it's so unusual

Anyone think he could play further up the pitch in a free role? Tracking back not such a big problem and he could affect the game more positively with a higher starting position

Why don't we try:

Aurier - Sanchez - Tobias - Whoever
Skipp - Lo Celso
Lucas - Tanguy - Berg
Alli/Parrott

Play him as an 8 with Lo Celso behind him and a good DM

This guy needs to sort himself out! I am a massive fan of his but clearly something is amiss. You have to have confidence and the right attitude to succeed in football and he's clearly missing both currently and has missed the right attitude for some time if previous teammates are to be believed. He is a massive talent but he needs to put the effort it. Milner isn't the greatest footballer you will see, but he's bloody good because he's committed and puts the effort in. He needs to sort it out as soon as possible as it's becoming a joke now.
