Ally Gold said that if Ndombele wasn't going to get minutes at West Ham his camp would be sending notes out to French reporters that he wasn't happy.

If I’d got wind of a player threatening to do that, I wouldn’t even put him on the bench.

If that’s really his attitude, then he’s clearly got the wrong mentality to be at a big club. He can’t expect to walk into the side, especially with how well Lo Celso played last night.

I love Tanguy and I think he's one of our most talented players, however, he hasn't shown anything on a consistent basis (in matches) to justify giving him the start that many on here are clamoring for. Like Lo Celso earlier in Jose's tenure, Ndombele has to wait for his opportunity and grab it with both hands. No one is entitled to a starting place. Everyone in the XI has to earn it.

The funny thing is, I remember a few months having to defend Ndombele in this thread because everyone was slagging him off, now a lot of the same people are using him as a pawn to attack Jose with.

All Mourinho's comments suggest that he is trying to tighten things up to raise the players confidence that we are solid at the back. I can't make head nor tail of the conflicting reports on Ndombele but at the moment Mou clearly wants a tight unit. That means there is limited room for creativity and at present Lamela and,Lo Celso offer more 'bite' than Ndombele. Once we are defensively 'confident' I think Mou will deploy Ndombele.

I hope this is true and Ndombele is on message with it as he is a potential worldie once the team has developed the backbone Mou needs to give him game time.

Latest bollocks coming out of the media is Lequipe saying we’re in talks with Barcelona over a 2 year loan with an obligation to buy. All the while, Barca are working on a deal to sign Pjanic from Juventus who is very similar in style.

Do I need to explain to you, given the current financial constraints, how fucking stupid it is to even suggest we’d let Barcelona forgo payment for 2 fucking years? Idiots.

Could there be a “special relationship” in it for us?

If we're definitely not planning on keeping him around, a phat loan fee AND an obligation to buy could be a goer. Barcelona basically single handedly funded the Liverpool revolution with their moronic valuation of Coutinho - we might be able to get some good money out of them in the long run.

If we then backloaded any deals we made - which is what Levy always does anyway - we might be able to bring someone decent in as a replacement. I'd be sad to see the back of Ndombele but if we got a proper DM and either a decent ST or RB for the money, it would be better than having a 55 mil player sat on the bench.

Taarabt what a waste of talent but he was iat least in his late teens Ndombele is almost 23 years old so no excuse on the inexperience side of things for Ndombele.

Clearly hugely talented but he just hasn't shown the intensity and defensive discipline to his game to survive as a central midfielder in the prem so far. Also, a major issue is, where do you play him? Alli is always going to start at number 10, Lo Celso has earned is place in CM, so this leaves one spot in CM. This needs to be a player with defensive discipline. Both Winks and Sissoko have shown that, even though they aren't as talented, they have the discipline to be more effective in that role than NDombele is. So I can see why Mourinho isn't playing him yet.

If NDombele can up his work rate and intensity he could possibly develop into a Essien type player and sit next to Lo Celso but I haven't seen anything from him yet that suggests this is likely to happen. As much as would love it to.

Modric could'nt play CM when he came to us so what did the manager do?

He bedded him in on the left because he knew and understood the dynamic such talents bring to a team.

Maybe I don't get something but his camp is really stupid, I really can't find one reason how selling news to the media that 7 matches before the end of the season player doesn't want to play under one of the best manager in the world would help him for something

Modric didn't throw a tantrum when he wasn't picked though. Leaking stories to papers rather than proving to the manager in training that you deserve to start is just the totally wrong attitude.

Well Jose's not playing & shows no sign of bringing him on, so it doesn't take a lot to work out something isn't & surely the upshot of that is N'Dombele will be moved on or the manager goes & I know where my money is!

If we do sell him and Villa get relegated Grealish would be a must.

can’t see that happening now. Levy couldn’t bring himself to pay twice what he wouldn’t pay last time. Utd look the most likely destination for him

Not sure they need him now after signing Fernandes. Any money they have to spend will go on Sancho.

I would still love Grealish, but hope if we do sell Ndombele, we go out and sign a defensive minded partner for Lo Celso.
(I don't want us to sell Ndombele )
