Any youth players we can take from them? That’s what I’d want (in addition to some serious moola). I really can’t stand watching Serie A anymore so I have no idea what they would have to offer.

they wouldn’t have much - the 3 players mentioned are really the only ones aside from Hakimi who just signed two weeks ago and Lautaro Martinez who is likely going to Barcelona.

For Tanguy, there really isn’t an idea swap option with them. Brozovic is 28 and has only played top level football in Italy, Skrinar is highly rated but don’t think he had the best of years (went from traditional back 4 to a back 3 with Conte) and Perisic is a fine player but has become a little bit of a journeyman - has never been at a club more than 2 years before Inter and not all moves were steps up.

I haven’t seen enough of those Inter guys (except for Perisic, who’s good but must be getting on). I expect Ndombele to go though. There is no point having someone on the bench that Jose isn’t intent on using when we could get £45m for him by offloading him and reinforce elsewhere. Some of you saying Levy is too good a businessman to take that kind of loss after only 1 year: but the best businessmen know when to cut their losses, and when not to throw good money after bad.

I agree we need another creative midfielder if Ndombele goes. We’ll have nothing to offer in that department otherwise if Gio gets injured.

Yeah I love ndombele, I just think this is the sunken fallacy or whatever it is called where instead of taking the 10 mil loss we hold onto him hoping he becomes good and instead he just rots on the bench losing millions year after year until we sell him for like 20. It honestly just might not of worked out for him here and it might just be best for player and team to go different ways. I will say though I hope we keep him and he turns into an absolute monster

Selling Ndombele would be yet another huge fuck up in a long line of them recently. He's one of the most talented midfielders in Europe and by far our most talented midfielder. Give him time and he will light up the league. I really pray Levy isn't this fucking stupid.

I could give a shit what Jose wants. He's only going to be here for another year and a half to 2 years anyway. Stand our ground like Utd with Martial & Pogba. Jose's got a history of letting uber talented players go.

Playing devils advocate, we played top 3/4 football without him featuring very much

Time will tell but idk this story just doesn't feel right to me.
Agree, but it also alerting clubs that he is available.

Give us a CL income and we can indulge in mavericks like him. As it is, it is going to take so much hard work to get back in the top 4, especially with the europa ball and chain dragging us back.
If we need to start trimming the wages then his name is going to be near the top.

Very good point. Both Martial & Pogba are happy and playing well in post Mourinho life.

I assume you’re referring to De Bruyne, Lukaku and Salah? All of whom didn’t become world beaters until years after he sold them. Meanwhile Jose would win trophy after trophy in the present. We don’t have the luxury to give Tanguy 3 years to pull his finger out. If the club don’t believe he can be a big contributer next season I’d let him go and reinvest in someone who can help our midfield out immediately.

People also like to conveniently forget that he shipped out Zlatan which didn’t go down well with Inter fans. He then brought in Eto’o and Milito and went on to win the treble.

Also don’t think Tanguys situation is comparable to Martial, Pogba or any of the Chelsea alumni’s. They may have been down to some poor judgment on Jose’s part or a clash of characters whereas Ndombele’s comes down to the fact that he literally just will not get fit. You can hardly expect a coach to trust a player who’s blowing out his arse after 30 minutes whenever he plays. No matter how good they are. It’s genuinely embarrassing the condition that he’s in. Kane looked sluggish, overweight and miles off the pace when we came back after lockdown. Few weeks later he’s back looking as fit as he’s ever been. Ndombele has had a year and doesn’t look any closer to being match fit. And I think it would be unfair to say that Jose hasn’t tried to fix this. Be it through encouragement, criticism or even giving him his own personal regime. But for whatever reason Tanguy can’t or won’t sort it out. So do we sit and wait for the penny to drop or for him to find a magic diet or workout regime that gets him up to speed. Or do we move him on whilst his market value is still high. I say if the offer is good enough, he goes.

Pogba is poisonous enough to have won more titles as a starting CM than our entire squad combined. Including being instrumental in winning a World Cup.

That ain’t poison mate
Ozil has too but look how he's behaving. What's the point in having players who have won something because they were in a good team (e.g Germany or France) but you can never get them on the pitch because there is always a sulk or never fit.

A pairing of brozovic and hojberg would rule epl. People don't know much about brozovic. He is much better player than ndombele at this moment.

My personal wish try to exchange him with lauturo Martinez. Kane, lautoro can be a deadly duo.

Best would be levy offer ndombele to lazio and try to get him swap with savic. That would be ideal.

Bang on. Everyone seems to think Jose let Salah and De Bruyne leave Chelsea and they became world class over night.. De Bruyne had 2 seasons till city became interested and Salah 3.

We’re not in a position to have someone of Ndombele value sat doing nothing and not even wanting to fight for his shirt ffs. If he don’t want to be here cash in and get someone who does.

It's like when Legia Warsaw rejected Lewandowski, cos he was coming back from a crushing injury. Lech Poznan took a punt on him, and the rest is history. Hindsight again.
I'm in the sell Tanguy camp. Maybe we live to regeret it, maybe not. But I want JM to be happy with his squad. If it gets us silverware...

Brozovic is a good CM - clear upgrade on what we have. You dont get to World cup finals with a bad/avg CM. He played in every big game of Croatia and put in performance. Skriniar or Brozovic - both works for me

Brozovic is fairly workmanlike. don’t see any standout technical or athletic ability. I wouldn’t fancy him PEH, Winks & Sissoko as our midfield options.

One thing I do find funny in among all of this is the fact people are backing the player over backing the manager while also shouting at the chairman to back the manager.

Some of you need to figure out what it is you want when it comes to Spurs.
