Wow. Exact opposite of what I’ve seen. Looks like he’s trying to re-enact the carragher video. Strolling around like he couldn’t be bothered.

Comes to life on the ball. But putrid off it.

The thing is with him, is that at his worst he's still alright somehow. But I agree. Certainly not playing like a player who's determined to win his place in the starting XI.

I’m not watching, but given that a) it’s just first run out of pre season and b) it’s just a friendly v Watford, could it be that some of you are guilty of confirmation bias?

I don't think so having watched the game. I'd understand it more if he was making loads of sprints and was blowing because of a lack of matches and a rumoured quarantine but he's not really sprinting. He's still playing fine though, even if well within himself.
