He doesn't say that at all, you've made that up! You've invented a causal link between two completely separate statements that aren't linked in that way at all.

He says exactly what I said that he'd said, not what you think I said he'd said. He explains exactly why he brought on Davies, and it wasn't because he didn't have Ndombs on the bench. It was because Davies would be better able to handle Arsenal's increasingly 'direct' approach. I made no suggestion about what he has done in previous matches, nor any guess about what he might choose to do in future games, I merely accurately relayed what he actually said, about this actual match. Again, I can't be blamed if that doesn't match your own version of reality.

He would have been useful in the second half because Lo Celso was playing with the handbrake on.

Also Xhaka would have been sent off because he can't tackle.
He should of been sent off anyway, that body slam on Kane in the first 5 minutes was a definite yellow. And he did 2 equally shite tackles in the second half. He is utter Crap, and stealing a living from the game. But let’s hope he keeps starting for them, because they won’t get anywhere with that idiot as a key starter.

ESPN have continually peddled this narrative. Wouldn’t read into it, they’re a shit football source. (And very anti-Mourinho)
Oh, yeah, I know that. Lauren is an Arsenal fan too, and he regularly talks bollocks about Spurs and Jose. Thought it was worth posting though.

I would start Tanguy on Thursday and Lo Celso Sunday and decide after between them for Liverpool

I would rather it the other way around to be honest. Still think Ndombele has that little bit extra to unlock defences and we'll need that for what will be a tough and tight affair on Sunday.

Problem is that Lo Celso has had issues with his fitness all season and was visibly struggling by the end of the Arsenal match, having started two in a row. For the sake of not pushing it too much I think it’d be prudent to play Tanguy on Thursday, Lo Celso at the weekend and then Tanguy again midweek against Liverpool.

Maybe but have my doubts about him performing Sunday and then again Wednesday. I like the idea of rotating between him and Lo Celso because neither have been the most convincing in terms of fitness. Gives them each a week between games. Lo Celso should be enough against Palace anyway and fancy him to perform if we're more on the front foot.

Yeah, I mean if we find that's the best option we have in regards to the welfare of the players then that's not a bad route to take, but if Gio does recover well I'd certainly like to save Ndombele for Sunday personally.

It does seem like an understandable route and maybe I'm looking at it from a slightly pessimistic mindset but I think the Palace game is so important because dropping points at Anfield would be no surprise but dropping points at both Anfield and Selhurst Park would be quite disappointing.

To be honest if it was a different fixture on Sunday I'd probably prefer to have it the way you suggest but I just really feel like the Palace game isn't going to be a nice one to watch and we'll need our absolute best out there.

I'd start Lo Celso Thursday. The usual 60/30 minute split between them for Palace and Liverpool, and then start Lo Celso against Leicester.

I'd start neither and have them both play vs Palace.
Yep, either that or Alli needs to be involved somehow whether it's starting or from the bench. We're going to need players who can unpick the inevitable lock at Palace.

The rest of the team picks itself apart from a toss up between Bergwijn and Bale for the RW spot.

I honestly mean it though. We've got a mental period coming up where the midweek games mean as much as the weekend ones, we can't turn up half arsed and that means having our best players in a good condition. This is essentially a rest week for the the first XI as far as I'm concerned with those that play midweek fighting for a chance of Premier League football over Xmas.
