This man is going to light up the league :wideyed:

Jesus... I watched all those games and at the time thought "man that was brilliant by Ndombele" but I don't think it struck me quite how good some of his play actually was - probably because he wasn't fully fit and drifted in and out a lot of the time.

However, if someone can make an entire compilation of him looking incredible when he's playing half arsed and half fit in pre-season friendlies, imagine how he'll look when he's fully fit and giving it 100%.

This is what I've been wanting in midfield for years! Dembele provided some of that physicality and drive forward through runs but didn't have the passing. The ability to do that + move the ball quickly and thread balls forward (also from Lo Celso) should improve us so much and players like Moura, Dele, and Lamela who want to move the ball quickly should thrive on it too. Dier, Sissoko, Trippier dwelling on the ball and afraid to pass forward has been really frustrating. I'm amazed it's taken so long to fix but Ndombele, Lo Celso, and Winks supporting, if he stays fit, should solve the biggest weakness in the team and a problem we've never really fixed since Modric left but which has gotten worse since Dembele's decline and departure.

His body feints and space awareness are so good, together with an eye for a clever pass.

I think we'll see more from him as he becomes more comfortable and confident. Missing out on Dybala hit a little hard but Ndombele and Lo Celso being in our midfield is so exciting.

Looks a top top player. I tell you one thing, our forwards had better keep hold of the ball and make good, effecient use of it because they will get great and sgarp service from n'dombele. Too often our forwards are loose with the ball when its pinged into them (alli, eriksen in particular). They all need to be razor sharp.
Son and moura should thrive on his service in particular because those 2 are quite active forwards with their runs. Lamela playing behind a front 2 also. I think lo celso will be an exciting addition also.

His first touch is superb. He's clearly always thinking ahead before he receives the ball. It's an essential skill for a modern day midfielder.

For those who want to see the best compilation of Tanguy pre-Spurs, have a look at this. Shows everything from passing, to tackling, to dribbling, etc. He is going to be immense. Only 22 y/o.

Ndombélé’s dribbling style is impressive in how it makes defenders commit because it always looks juuust winnable off him, but nope he’s flicked the ball past them and body feints round. He looks a unique talent.

His ability to constantly just get a toe to what looks like a 50/50 ball must be so frustrating for defenders. Especially when that toe poke always seems to either free himself into more space or find a team mate.

This is why he is going to be so valuable in games against pressing teams. Draw them in, burst free and offload it forwards into the space.

Poch was interviewed today saying they wanted him to add more goals to his game.

He’s going to be an absolute monster.

I remember after Winks scored his last minute header, he said the staff were encouraging him to add goals to his game. Seems to be a theme.

I think we need to dampen our expectations of him to begin with, I get the impression he’ll be a slow burner and may frustrate at times but ultimately grow into becoming a world class box to box midfielder, give him time.
