Another embarrassing and lazy misrepresentation of the gist of the thread. Really disgraceful that people come in here and shout stuff like "some of you are fucking weirdos" and then proceed to completely and utterly miss the point. Nothing but a ratings hunter.
Just read some of the posts. Please educate me as to what the point is.
The thread is over 400 pages, do you think it was started after the Southampton game to start slagging him off due to injury?
In mine, and some others view, his fitness since he arrived at the club has been a worry/disgrace/mystery, delete as appropriate, this stems from looking like he was knackered after 20 mins of the pre-season games, to not being able to seemingly play back to back matches, then being injured, then joining up with the national team, then being injured, then being fit, then being injured again etc etc amen.
In my view, he's a supremely talented footballer, and we've seen snippets of how good he can be, in comparison to his great displays in the CL last season. But...the shape he arrived in during pre-season, added to the example of the Bournemouth game earlier in the thread where he basically gives up chasing the ball because he's knackered (before half time) puts me in the camp of "very unhappy" with his fitness. This is NOT about his injury against Southampton, this is all the things mentioned, added to the fact Poch clearly had the hump with something about him after snapping at a journo in a press conference post game, plus Mourinho coming out with what he did a couple of weeks ago about him being "injured, always injured".
So to repeat, nothing to do with him being currently injured. NOTHING. Not doubting his ability. NOT DOUBTING HIS ABILITY. Unhappy with the current situation. UNHAPPY.
Hope that clears things up.
This thread is bonkers.
There are two clear and obvious statements you can make about Ndombele:
1. He is extremely talented. A “baller” as the youngsters say.
2. His fitness record is worrying.
Everyone is arguing the toss over two opposite things.
I love watching Ndombele play and he looked excellent in 2nd half vs Norwich. However, he still has an awful lot to prove in the Premier League.
It is obvious that Ligue 1 is a far inferior league and it is obvious why he would shine in that league.
I still have full faith in him at Spurs, but he hasn’t proven anything yet.
I can think of 10 players in the league I would rather have in our squad in the immediate term.
Again, not to say that won’t change as Ndombele improves.
Would you want Ndombele in the trenches with you when the bullets are flying .
No he would be cowering in the corner so to speak great talent no guts .
Seems to me every time he is tackled he is close to wanting to leave the pitch. what a wimp but great ability.

If he was a target for nearly every elite club in World Football, how did we get him?
Looked a real talent as soon as I saw him but also looked overweight and obviously has fitness issues
Maybe these Elite clubs knew something and were waiting to see how he went in a much more competitive league
Maybe we offered better pies? ?
Just kidding. He’s already shown himself to be a quality player. Just imagine what he would be like when he’s fully fit.
So am I and the next person who says I’m not I’ll take their eye out with one of my man teats!he has a barrel chest but certainly not fat.
Problem is, we don't have the luxury of giving him a season off. We are pretty desperate for him to play a full role now, especially with Moussa ruled out probably for the rest of the season in realityI think he's more of a next season player. Needs a pre season like Dembele in 15/16 where he went and lost lots of weight and came back a monster.

Because we are now an elite club as well (at least financially), and we were likely to offer similar wages and fees for him as the other elite clubs. There's more to signing players than just the hierarchy of club prestige, we were able to convince Ndombele that we were a great option for him (big club, new stadium, Poch's ambition, development, CL run, starting role, French guys in the locker room). It was reported all throughout the summer of interest from clubs like United, Man City, PSG, Real Madrid, Juventus and I think all the chips fell in the right place for us to get him. But to be fair, who really knows what is true and not.If he was a target for nearly every elite club in World Football, how did we get him?

It’s true. Liverpool thought Keita was gonna be an absolute baller for them, Klopp was ecstatic to get him. Injuries and form have meant he’s struggled even in an extremely well set up and confident side.Just because WE as a club failed to bolster our midfield for years and ended up in this mess doesn’t mean we should be putting unnecessary pressure on the new lads coming in.
Relax- my horn would shield you allI'd rather half the fine members of SC with me, we can use our laptops as cover
