The people who Scouted NDombele really have let the club down as he is not a player for this season.. His fitness is way off and as a result we overpaid for him unless Levy has some serious restrictions on addons... Also positionally we needed a deeper player to replace Mousa Dembele but I think NDombele will be a box to box player to creatively replace Sissoko not a player who keeps to the ball and sets the tempo..

He didn't have any fitness and injury problems at France, not sure what scouts did wrong because he has similiarities to Mousa. And a said here earlier, a lot of this "his fitness is way off" comes to his style of running.

Also, Sissoko isn't creative.

What is actually going on with him? This transfer is currently looking like a huge waste of money and time.

We have to just bite the bullet and start him. Between Winks and Lo Celso no goals or assists in the prem all season.

Again, I’ll

This. Use this absolute mess of a season to at least try and prepare to some degree for next season. If we don’t attempt that then it’s been a complete waste of time as a campaign

Even in france people were saying how he always put on weight and questioned his attitude. Probably put a lot of clubs off signing him. Even the lyon coach questioned him saying he can turn it on in the CL but would go missing against lesser clubs.

We stepped up and took a big gamble and it isnt paying off so far.

You'd also hope that he would be busting a gut to ensure his place in the France squad for the summer. As it stands they'd be mad to pick him on current fitness, form or attitude.

What I would like to know is why our scouting department wasn't aware of this guy's poor attitude. He's been read the riot act before at Amiens, his first club, also for being overweight and unfit... And nothing has changed since by the looks of it.
This whole situation, involving our record signing no less, is just a disgrace.

Record signing, reportedly top earner with Kane. For a club like us that can’t throw money around it’s close on being a disaster. He was meant to be a key part in taking us to the next level. It’s silly to say he’s our biggest signing just because of the fee, because obviously that goal post moves. But in terms of how much a coup we thought it was, he’s definitely our biggest signing for a long time.

Could just be a case of him taking more time to settle in and feel at home in England. I think the reason GLC has settled in so well is that he's lived in 3 different countries and played in 3 different leagues since he left Argentina and has had to learn how to settle into his new environment quickly. This is Tanguy first foray into life outside France, might be a case of him missing home comforts and needing time to get used to it all. He's probably had legitimate injury issues and then he's thrust into a situation where the team is doing poorly, the manager is sacked, more injuries, new manager comes in, injured again etc not really a great overall welcome IMO.

Last part is probably overlooked. I'd imagine Pochettino was a big reason he agreed to join us, then he leaves and Mourinho comes in and, rightly or not, calls him out for his fitness.

So he sulks on £200k a week? Jose calling him out on his fitness is what Jose does, he’s looking for a reaction, look GLC he has reacted well.

I'm prepared to wait to see how often he features in the next few weeks. We've a lot of games in a short space of time. I wonder if he'll start Weds against Norwich, for instance?

He needs a real run of games before we can really understand if he's going to be a success here or not but he ain't going to get that if he can't compete.

Let's wait and see how he gets on over the summer as I think this season we won't see too much of him starting. He needs to return in the summer busting a gut to get himself up to speed with the demands.

People can blame our scouts all they want but the reality this was Poch's number 1 target, which tells you he had watched him enough to really want him. It's also another reason why there was concerns from some allowing Poch to have free reign over transfers. I really wish he'd just stuck to what made him successful, he'd likely still be here if he did.

Needs to play. Only way his fitness will improve. should be playing Winks Ndombele Lo Celso as a 3. Make everyone else build around that
