Sorting out Ndombele is really the ultimate X Factor of our season. If he were to get fit and get his head on straight he’d be a massive addition to our midfield alongside Hojbjerg and Lo Celso. There’s no denying his talent.

On the flip side, if we were able to sell him at a reasonable price, let’s say £40-45m, and get back in Sabitzer or a more expensive Kane back up or even Skirniar that would be a massive boost to squad.

The worst case scenario is him sticking around and barely playing. If he either comes good or we spend the money well, I’d take us over United to nick the fourth spot. If it remains the way it is now I think we’re underdogs for a UCL spot.
This 100%. Everyone needs to be on the same page with this if he stays. We can't have an unhappy player and/or a manager who doesn't trust the player just because Levy doesn't want to look like he made a mistake and thinks selling him so soon is admitting defeat. If he stays, he HAS to get chances to play, or else his value will keep plummeting, and Ndombele must indicate his willingness to stay and FIGHT. He could very well want to leave, but so did Son, so we must be assured that he won't down tools.

Right, so many questions after reading the last few pages in here.. Umm.. I’m gonna go with an obvious one tho:

Doesn’t Ndombele wear Adidas boots, and not Nike?

I think the latest ITK has removed whatever good will people still held for the guy. I was a supporter, but since that most recent bit of information I can't wait to be rid of him. I don't wish COVID on him though.
Can you tell or anyone else what was the latest itk was about ?? Pls

It fits a pre determined narrative that a number of our fans have fallen for hook, line and sinker.
I haven’t seen one thing he’s done all season that should excite or give fans hope that he will be successful. Like I said I hope I’m wrong and he can stay injury free then maybe we see his potential. As it stands though I’ve got no idea what to expect from him and with Mourinho at the helm I don’t see how it’s going to work. Chelsea, City and United can waste £60m coz they’ll just throw another £60m or even more on the next player. We can’t do that so it’s critical a big money signing is the right guy.

I’m fascinated by what we’d do with a wedge of cash if we could sell NDombele. So many different potential approaches. Would really make clear JM’s priorities.

I mean he reposted on his own Instagram story for a reason. Doubt he would have done that if they were not his boots.

You can’t be serious saying that he didn’t do one thing that excited you or that displayed his immense talent. Give me a break... Yes, his work rate has been disappointing and the ITK on his attitude is very concerning, but his talent is undeniable. When firing, his ball progression abilities via dribbling and incisive forward passes add an extremely valuable element that we simply don’t have anywhere else in the squad.

How gettable is Van Der Beek?

He’s definitely open to a move this summer. It seemed like he was going to Real Madrid before COVID but I guess they’ve changed their plans since. He’s been one of the 50 Dutch internationals linked to Barca since Koeman arrived. Also some MU rumors but who knows what they’re up to.

IIRC, ITK squashed any rumors linking him to us last summer saying we weren’t interested but obviously it’s a somewhat different regime now.

You can doubt his story all you want - but last week, I was in Sports Direct getting some new Donnay socks - and who walks in? Ndombele and Pogba no less. They are acting a right rowdy pair. Pogba is hoofing all the balls out of the basket across the shop floor, Ndombele was throwing water bottles around and shouting "Kobe!"

I sauntered over to them both, and said "Paul, you're acting like an idiot and Tanguy, you really need to work on your cardio. That's if you're even staying at Spurs?!" He started tearing up. Then I put them both over my knee and gave them the hide-tanning of a lifetime. They left the store with their heads dropped and something to think about - everybody in the store clapped.
So the creative writing classes are going well then.

Well selling Serge, Foyth and Ndombele will surely bring in the likes of approximately 70-80m. Having only spent 3m net so far I would say that puts us in a lovely position ...

Sabitzer or Rakitic would be brilliant signing for us, if we are ditching Ndombele.
Jose is a big Rakitic fan so I wouldn't right it off, but I have big doubts on him. I think he is finished as a top level player, and his decline, which has been visible for some years now but this year he nosedived, and failure to replace him is a massive factor in Barca's woes. If he was 26 or something I'd be like take the risk. But at 32 I think his top level career is over, and even if it were possible to squeeze and extra year or two out of him, it will only be an extra year or two. Better long term options available.

Rakitic has been strongly linked with a move back to Sevilla which seems like it’s at an advanced stage. I’d be very surprised if we were able to swoop in for him at this point.
