not surprised he's turning a corner.. I mean, who wouldn't be motivated after hearing Levy's GCSEs story

Ndombele and Lo Celso are the kind of players who can make something out of nothing with a single pass and we saw it on that goal. Pair that with one of the best, if not the best, passing strikers in the world in Kane and the speed running off of him in Son, Bergwijn, Lucas and Bale... well we saw that goal. I think there is a lot of promise going forward, hope we can put in a good second half.

Edit- Not surprised to see Tanguy off after halftime, let’s blame the yellow card!

Probably just upping his minutes by the game. Almost no pre season, played midweek, had Covid possibly. Was our best player first half.

One things for sure, while midfield improves when Lo Celso is on the pitch. Hopefully Ndombele gets to reap that benefits soon.

I like to think that JM is getting both Ndombele and Lo Celso up to speed slowly. Both have had problems with injuries and maybe he is just being canny. As much as I like to criticise Mourinho such actions would be to the long term benefit of the team

Don't think you could even criticise him too much for the performance in first half, he was working hard and putting himself about I just think he's more effective deeper but Jose is getting him up to speed first before moving him deeper.

He could maybe have shown for the ball a bit more but he was clearly the only one trying to find Kane's feet. Winks and Hojbjerg kept playing out wide and it was always congested.

Hopefully he starts in Europa as I think the pace will be kinder.

I’d like to think that by the time Bale’s fit again, Gio Tanguy and PEH will have emerged as our best midfield three because the amount of chances that’ll be created for that front three will be insane

especially if Kane is dropping deeper and helping to feed Son and Bale

very happy he finally looks like he wants to be at the club. just needs to get the legs so he can do his bit in midfield. Can very easily become our yaya toure.

His play for the goal was wonderful that’s what everyone has been expecting from him isn’t it. He just needs to keep up the good work and get fit.

Him and Lo Celso could both be huge players for us.

With the games coming up, hopefully he can get 60+ mins under his belt.

Still needs to work harder off the ball, but showed great strength on it and link up play
