Didn't Aurier come on for Tanganga in that pre season game against Arsenal? Ahead of Doherty? Strange to see that situation flip around. Might mean he's off?

Doesn’t look good for him. Like others said, looking at the way the team fought hard yesterday, I don’t see him fitting in. He’s bone idle, Nuno probably realises this and wants him gone.

We should try and use him as a make weight in any potential deals we have left to wrap up, even if that means paying a portion of his wages. Just get this waster out of the club please.

Ndombele isn't the first or the last player that struggles in the Prem. Naby Keita, deemed by many as the perfect fit for Klopp's Liverpool, hasn't really featured that much. Henrik Mkhitaryan, who played so great in Dortmund and Shakhtar, and now at Roma, was a failure at United and Arsenal.

I think he'd struggle in Spain now too, where they moved from tiki-taka football to a much more direct, physical approach. But he'd be a good fit in Italy. Unfortunately for him, most of the top teams in Italy already have good creative midfielders and Roma is managed by Mourinho.

Really not sure it is a fitness issue, think it is more a mentality issue. I just can’t see him following runners and showing the discipline necessary no matter how fit he is. He is unbelievably gifted but just he is not suited to the PL, where every game is competitive and a battle. He will go somewhere else and play for a team that can stroll through 90% of their league games and look amazing.

The only reason I'm replying to this is because I was going to post it anyway. Please don't @ me asking questions as 99% of the time I'll just put you on ignore. Nothing personal but if it's easier than getting caught up in the shit storm that asking questions can cause........

That said he wants to go, I've said that before. He's very close to Serge and Sissoko and we are actively trying to shift both. He's very sulky and lazy when things aren't going his way. We are happy if he goes, but it's not easy because no one has any money and he's on pretty high wages. My guess would be he goes out on loan or we can shoe horn him into a deal for a striker coming the other way. The latter preferable.

As expected. We can’t carry someone on that weekly wage. It’s a shame as he is so talented but the lazy attitude can’t be tolerated. We won yesterday with grit and passion.

Such a shame. I was giddy when we got him. Such a talent. Shame his head isn’t right as he could one of the best in the epl. Gutted to see us not get the best out of him. Guarantee he goes somewhere, grows up and turns incredible

Just a guess from trixs info but surely that would be Martinez if ndombele is included, I know trix is just saying what he would like but can’t see ndombele going Fiorentina

Sorry what info was this?

EDIT: Don't worry, found it!

Personally think including Tanguy in a deal for a big bucks striker would be a brilliant move if we can pull it off, and could be the only way for skint teams like Inter to realistically bring in any players who would normally cost a substantial fee.

Failing that, if we can sell him for ~£40m and spend some of that on a replacement - perhaps someone like Ward-Prowse or Berge who we've been linked to - that would also leave us in a stronger position than having a player on huge wages not making the squad.

Huge shame... Think he's truly something special. Looks unlikely, but hopefully things change real quick and something inside his head rearranges.

Supremely talented and would be a shame if by the looks of it doesn't work out but there's simply no hiding place in this league when it comes to fitness, knuckling down and putting a shift in. Nuno, like Poch, seemingly expects his players to run through brick walls for the team for the whole game. If you can't/won't do that, clear you're not going to be involved.

It's pretty much a prerequisite in this league and I really couldn't see top managers such as Guardiola, Klopp, Poch, Conte relying on Ndombele despite his quality on the ball.

Let's see how things pan out.

If you ask me, getting Sissoko and Aurier out of the squad and keeping Ndombele might just be kick up the arse he needs to mature. Comfortability breeds laziness, he needs to be uncomfortable to build that mental solitude.

He has the talent and occasional sensational skills in him no doubt. But truthfully, has he really bust a lung sprinting or tracking back in all his times here? A talisman we wanted him to be all along and yet he couldn't even able to last a match start to finish in so many occasions. He's just isn't trying hard enough, and if more of us can admit it, there are lesser excuses conjured up for him, because they are really running low now. His 200k per week is almost 4.5 times of what Martinez is earning now. Imagine loaning him out can free up the funds to buy Martinez. That's how big and fat his check currently is and he's still nowhere being ashame of his performance.

It's not just about fitness, Kane and Sessegnon aren't fit but they are registered for ECL, it's more than that.

They’ve only been registered for the two upcoming playoff matches.

If we go through to the group stage, we would need to submit a new list to UEFA.

He had a full pre-season and still isn't considered selectable as one of 18 outfield players. Astonishing.

I really hope we find a buyer/loaner and move on. He can stroll around elsewhere.

@DavidSpurs13 would you care to elaborate as to why you dislike this? Do you think his situation is acceptable?

It’s such a waste of talent, which makes him all the more frustrating. Given his massive wages on top of the record fee, surely has to go down as our biggest transfer blunder to date hasn’t he? Worse than Soldado, Rebrov etc.
