One of the things I really like about a signing like this - when you look at our CM options now:

Bissouma - Bentancur
Bissouma - Skipp
Hojbjerg - Bentancur
Hojbjerg - Skipp
Bissouma - Hojbjerg
Bentancur - Skipp


I could see any of these combinations work - which gives plenty of rotation, and options on the bench to keep everyone fresh.

Bissouma is the only one of the 3 that looks comfortable breaking forward with the ball. And probably the only 1 that will add a few goals from CM.

Bentancur will still sit deep, but not sure where Hojbjerg and Skipp will play. They can cover both if needed though.

Not sure about that. Bissouma has scored 3 goals in 4 seasons. Hojbjerg has scored more than that in the last two. Assists as well, isn't what Bissouma does he has 2 in 4 seasons same as Hojbjerg this season.

In fact I think Bissouma is a much more defensive player than some people are making out. He does have that dembele quality to break through midfields from deep, but the key factor there is from deep. He gives us another option but I imagine we are likely to sign him not just for his differences but for the qualities he shares with the players we already have.

One of the problems last season was that we couldn't maintain the same sort of system with Winks so we had to play PEH and Bentacur, which both did a phenomenal job btw, with hardly a rest. We need to be able to change our midfielders without changing our system, Bissouma allows us to do that while also offering slightly different qualities to the rest.

I'm bringing this here...

I think people are taking issue with the fact that you're assuming he's guilty.
Many people, even on here, have been wrongly accused of various things, or know people who have been.

It's far too often taken that a male must be guilty, even though our legal system is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.

My ex wife has twice tried to have me arrested based on nothing but lies and on both occasions, the police initially treated me like a criminal. Even though I had all the evidence to prove my innocence and she had nothing against me.

A close friend of mine was recently falsely accused of sexual assault at work. It dragged on for months before finally being thrown out of court and him being found completely innocent.
He's a late 40's family man and probably the gentlest, kindest person I know, loyal to a fault. He would never, ever sexually assault anyone and I've known him since school.

So yeah, it happens more than you think and us as victims, don't really appreciated the whole "he's probably guilty" vibe that you're giving.

Its amazing seeing us go about our transfer activity with such a clear strategy. Bissouma is exactly what we've been missing, as is Perisic, as is Eriksen, as is Spence (potentially). If we only sign those players we will have massively improved the squad, so the fact will still have over £100m left to spend on a CB and forward is unbelievable.
