Thoroghly enjotyable day yesterday, boy i was shattered at the end of it! A lot of standing on trains and at the match means I ache like buggery today but well worth it!
The stadium is magnificent. Absolutely brilliant. We were in the south stand so saw most of the goals up close. I heard the cheers and saw lots of pointing at half time and had no idea wtf was going on. Turns out Van de Ven was spotted.
Only downer was the bloke next to me who didnt sing, didn't cheer, just stood with his arms crossed and talked the whole match like he was a coach. "Release it! Oh good ball that. Yeah I like that. Worrying that. Caught again. The full backs are inverted you know. Terrible shot. Backpass that." He's of course perfectly entitled to do that, it just irritated me no end. If I wanted a running commentary I''d stay at home and watch on telly.
As for the game itself, Udogie looks class, as does Sarr. Scarletts goal was quality. Lo Celso certainly has a place in this squad. Romero had a couple of crunchers. Takes no prisoners that guy. Emerson looked so confident on the ball and was everywhere. CB, RB, CM. Amazing what a bit of confidence can do.
All in all a great day out, though my back, hips and knees arent thanking me today!

overall the atmosphere was fantastic. 56k for a pre season friendly is madness! Constant "one of our own" chants (apart from grump next to me of course lol). Had quite a few kids around us and hearing them singing along with the rest of us was great.
There was a real character a few rows back who made us laugh. Kept shouting things like "Harry Kane I love yoooooooooo" in what sounded like a spanish accent. Hilarious
I don't get to many games at all these days for various reasons so it will live long in the memory.

Thought the Barca game was Wednesday not Tuesday. Hard to see those playing 75/80 mins yesterday playing a large part.

Glad I am not the only one. Had it been Wednesday I had hoped for the two new boys to feature, but as you say might be too soon. Unless they get minutes off the bench second half?

I know it's just a friendly but If our starting back four is Porro - Sanchez - Dier - Reguillon , I think we'll concede a couple goals in the 1st half. Really looking forward to getting VDV up to speed as he'll probably be the best partner for Romero until we can hopefully get Tapsoba.

I now see in very small print that this game is only available to Spursplay UK subscribers. I'm pretty angry having just forked out about $80 for what I thought would be two games.Spursplay

Possibly but I'm reluctant to go through that sort of rigmarole. None of the VPNs work for the BBC so I'm nor really prepared to go down that route again. Thanks anyway.
