This year not a single team could get close to them. Pretty pathetic with the amount of money thrown around in this league and the gap between Liverpool and everyone else is so big.

city have been awful this year....really hope the CL ban upholds and they start slipping back to where they belong.

Imagine if we actually showed ambition in summer 2017. That's what really hurts. The roles could easily be reversed right now.
But we had a Stadium to build. Did everything come at the wrong time...maybe yes, but I wouldn't swap a league title for the Gourmet Mince and Onion Pie!

Does make you wonder what could have been...

We really should have won the league at least once - we were so good for two seasons.

Despite the lack of investment in our squad, I think just getting one trophy under our belt, even the league cup, would have given us that little taste of winning to push us over the line.

Fair enough to Liverpool. Last season I actually celebrated City winning it over them but I’m not bothered whatsoever this year. I thought they’d be absolutely unbearable after the CL final but they were humble and pretty dead on for the most part.

Man City and Chelsea can go fuck themselves in equal measure for making top 4 just about impossible now, though.

Chelsea will finish third

But am I crazy for thinking we can finish above Leicester? They’re 10 points above us + have better goal difference but they’re not playing that good atm and are dropping a lot of points and we still have to play them.
They also have to play Everton away, Arsenal away (LOL I know), Sheffield United and United in the last game

Hopefully somehow they, United and Wolves drop points and we somehow win all games bar maybe 1

I’m so, so convinced that had we spent one more season at WHL we would’ve won the title. We’ve just not felt the same since leaving there.

The only thing that slightly console me now is the fact i recalled they got screwed all over by A Madrid before the lockdown and the fact they didn't get Timo Werner.

Chelsea more than any other club I can think of has some sort of sociopathic bully like nature that runs through all facets of their club. It has obviously worked for them but I know why I’m spurs and it’s because that’s not our culture. At all.
I agree with what youre saying in regards to the bullying and I'd hate for our club to be like theirs off the pitch but I think winners always want to put other noses out of joint.

If we'd had a bit of that we wouldn't have lost finals and semi finals to them. We'd likely have not spent the 90s been rolled over by all our rivals all the time.

Feel a bit deflated - somehow I was convinced Chelsea would drop points tonight and we would have an outside chance of top 4 still. I know it sounds stupid but it’s the first time I’ve accepted champs league is gone. Sadly I just don’t believe Man City will be kicked out so think 5th won’t matter.

Unfortunately I now have to put up with my Liverpool supporting husband jumping around the living room ?

I’m going to insist on looking surprised and express disbelief that the season restarted to every scouser I have to talk to. They won the league and nobody noticed.

No, I don't think you are actually. United will certainly bypass them, Chelsea too. They've stopped scoring, their flow and rhythm has deserted them and theyve actually been in wretched form since January. If they stay in that form we can certainly catch them.

The question then will be, is it is? Or Wolves?

Huge asterisk on the title already and they didnt even win it on their own volition for an even more anticlimactic title. Fuck you scousers.

Oh and we missed big time on Pulisic.

Something sweet about Liverpool not winning the league on sky after their wankfest for the last month

Yep that’s what I was thinking. Even if Leicester do collapse United & Wolves still has a higher chance of finishing In the top 5
