That decision just encourages diving tbh, feel a little tap, keep going, if you don’t think you’re getting there pretend you’ve been shot.

Liverpool reporter who works for The Athletic. Just perfectly encapsulates their fan base.

Blatant dive

He could have easily continued, he has an open goal FFS.
He went down because he realized the ball had ran too wide to be sure of him getting a shot on goal. A blatant dive. Because referees continue to give such blatantly “soft” penalties players keep going to ground after the slightest of contact. I’ve finally come to the conclusion that most referees are stupid people as they continue to allow themselves to be conned by professional footballers.

VAR is just pointless. Wrong decision over and over yet causes so many delays.

Such a blatant dive from Jota, still gets penalty. Maddison hacked down with clear contact in the area against Sheffield and nothing.

Hahaha that's a disgrace.

And they say they never get decisions?

LOL
They have had loads since their big whingefest. I get why they were annoyed, their goal against us should clearly have stood, but they literally got a decision clearly in the favour the very next game against Brighton

They really are the fan base most lacking in self awareness are they.

They do genuinely think they’re just entitled to win and that everyone should help them too, and worse, they seem to think everyone wants them to.

That’s maybe the worst dive I’ve ever seen, with context in mind (that he had an open goal to hit it into). Mind boggling.

Hope Newcastle make a big deal out of it.

VAR needs sacking off, absolute shambles.

We should have goal line technology (in its current guise) and a redeveloped offside technology (in a better, more efficient guise to what is currently on offer).

Leave the rest for the refs to fuck up in real time

Need Eddie to start talking about replays in press conference.
