Firstly, City were off their heads thinking that Haaland was a better option than Kane. Secondly, they are a shadow of their former selves without De Bruyne and Gundogan and of course really missed Rodri. Bottom line is we shouldn't be afraid of either of these teams, and I think if we get lucky with injuries etc we could well be involved in a four way title race with them and Liverpool.

Man City win was the only acceptable result. Now the scum could kick on instead of having doubt. Awful.

Still so much football to be played.

The biggest worry is if City carry on any bit of that performance into the rest of the season, but it will be surprising if they do. Not convinced Arsenal won't drop silly points at all and really, a defeat away to Arsenal for City is only bad because we expect City to beat everyone home and away. In reality it's far from the end of the world to lose at The Emirates.

All rivals playing teams in form after international break and us at the top, not bad.

They may have won but there must be some concern over the fact that they looked pretty toothless without Saka...

Who am I kidding? They'll be declaring Martinelli the new Pele by now, I expect. They like doing that, then he'll misplace a pass and he'll have his status adjusted to "waste of money, not fit to wear the shirt".

We should have beat them at the emirates! Not afraid of any of these teams if we stay fit!

We're in a title race. Don't care what anyone says.

Goons have a rejuvenated Chelsea away next.

We've Fulham at home.

Great chance of staying top.

The fact we’re still top despite there being a ballsack hair between us will eat them up inside for the next 2 weeks, don’t you just love it 🤣

Scum winning it put them joint top with us is fine, but beating Citeh is annoying. We need Citeh to keep other teams in check - at worse they win the league is better than any other teams if we can't do it.
They are not joint top with us we are top they are second if they were joint top with us they'd be shown on top because of alphabetical order.

Robbie Mustoe on Peacock saying the foul on Rice was a “yellow and a half”

I’ve never heard such shit in my life. We dealing in half yellows now?

Fucking Chelsea always bend over for Arsenal even when they're 'good', so I don't expect anything from that.

Chelsea have won 1 of their last 8 meetings with Arsenal 🤦‍♂️

Yep. They’ll roll over like usual. Plus they are shit too of course.

The next set of premier league fixtures after the international break look quite tasty as well. Standouts before we play Fulham at home on MNF:

Sat 21 Oct
Liverpool vs Everton (12.30pm)
Man City vs Brighton (3pm)
Chelsea vs Arsenal (5.30pm)

If we continue with our form after the international break we can be even more of a nuisance and perhaps be mentioned in a title race: Sky and the rest with gritted teeth I’m sure. 😂😂😂

We should all take this in our strides: totally not expected and a fortnight guaranteed at the top. Also just so nice not fearing anyone: that City side tonight showed that even more!
