Yes but Villa have tough games too. Winning that one isnt essential for top 4 IMO. Also I think that the City cup result means that the Prem/Sky can't schedule Chelsea away for right at the end of the season in the hope of provoking another Battle of the Bridge ....as we will have to play City then midweekDont forget our game in hand is chelsea away..
Yep, no ill feeling towards Luton but we need to be ruthless and bury themThe bottom line is that West Ham did their bit this week, we didn't do ours yesterday evening. We had no right expecting them to do us any kind of favours.
The draw keeps us in touch and in the mix.
As good as Fulham were yesterday and deserved it we must bounce back after that wet limp performance and go all out to put Luton to the sword.
Recall when we lost to Brighton in 2022 under Conte and people felt we'd blown it.Half full - bit of a let off there
Half empty - what a bloody stupid wasted opportunity that Fulham match was
No dig at you mate but I think that was the kind of mentality that got us a 3-0 whooping yesterday. I just hope the boys go into the remaining games just wanting a win.Could do with improving the GD against Luton, could be crucial in the end.

There are no easy games or guaranteed 3 points, we have to earn it.
I think the problem is that Sheff Utd and Burnley, and many other promoted teams beforehand, is they gained promotion with a team filled with loan players which they then lost when they moved up to the PL. So the team in thePL is nothing like the successful promotion winning team.In some ways you can defend Luton and Sheff Utd.
Neither team were in a position to be promoted.
Sheff Utd were selling their best players prior to the season and not in a state of growth/progression
Whereas Luton came from nowhere and have significantly less funds than everyone else.
But Burnley should have had a go at it. I think that reflects badly on Kompany.
Same with Forest the season beforeI think the problem is that Sheff Utd and Burnley, and many other promoted teams beforehand, is they gained promotion with a team filled with loan players which they then lost when they moved up to the PL. Agree. Luton are a tricky side. Very good at set pieces and keep going right to the end scoring a lot of goals in the last 15 minutes of games. Need to up for it right from the start and hopefully build up a big lead early on to put the match out of their reach. No dig at you mate but I think that was the kind of mentality that got us a 3-0 whooping yesterday. Could have been worse for us today. Big difference between us yesterday and Villa today is after both teams had a lackluster 1st half and were 1-0 at HT is that Emery made 2 substitutions at HT which reinvigorated Villa in the 2nd half whereas Postecoglu did not and we remained lackluster in the 2 half. We got nothing out of the game whereas Villa got at least point and probably deserved more.
I suppose the lesson to be learned from these 2 games is that if the whole team are underperforming in the first half you have to make substitutions at HT in order to revitalize the team .
West Ham could cause us problems with the way they play, if we're too narrow I can see another tough outing.
If we play anything like last night we'll get spanked, and Newcastle away.
Really, really hope we dont gloss over it, as it will just happen again.
Ange needs to be conducting a real post mortem on what happened last night.
West Ham game will be very telling if we learned from last night
