So with the season fast approaching I have been spending the day watching some spurs moments in the "Premier league" years.

It got me thinking, What is everyone's favourite or most sentimental spurs moment that sticks out to your memory more often than other moments it can be something unique or different and does not have to be a major moment. What really made you amazed or happy or alternatively something from a spurs game you will Never forget till the day you die.

The criteria is it must be since the inception of the premier league and based on the below

1. A moment at a live game home or away ( what happened, a bit of skill, a tackle a sending off ?)

2. Watching at a friends or the pub etc)

I will give you mine. Have a look over the lineup if you have a minute.

1999 Spurs 0-2 Leicester

We had just come off the back of a memorable league cup victory and happened to play Leicester again one week later.

What made this so special was it was my first ever game at the lane, I was 8 year's old and always remember emile heskey giving judas the run around.

My "moment" in the game I will never forget is when I Thought i was seeing my first spurs goal live, les Ferdinand hits a shot against the side net and we are jumping around thinking he had scored, only to realise it did not go in. This moment has ALWAYS stuck with me when thinking about spurs and games I have watched. It makes me happy thinking of it even though it meant nothing and didn't reflect the scoreline.

Albeit we lost, but at a live game for the first time and even though we lost I knew at the final whistle tottenham was my club. Thankfully I have seen us score live goals since

Would love to hear everyone else's stand out moments. It does not have to be at the game either :)

Mine is probably a bit of a cliché but oh well. #

The 4-3 against West Ham in 2007. The roller coaster of emotions that day were ridiculous. From going 2-0 down after watching the first half with my dad, his friend and his son (a hammer) my dad and I decided to leave.

We got home to watch the us equalise to make 2-2 and we went mad. Then in the 86th minute for Zamora to score to make it 3-2 to West Ham I was distraught. The Berbatov free kick in the 89th minute not only for the sheer quality of goal but the fact we managed to get out of the proverbial jail that is losing to West Ham put me in a state of relief.

Then comes my favourite moment. Deep in stoppage time West Ham have a corner, at that age I had worked out Spurs are... well Spursy, and are bound to let in a goal from this corner. Then for us to go up the other end score. It is safe to say I went mental running around the house shouting and screaming. What made the moment particularly perfect was that my dad was joining me. This was the first moment my dad and I shared a moment like this over football (hopefully not the last) and that is why it is my Premier League moment I will never forget.

Got to be honest my most vivid memory premier league wise would be .....Kaboul, crosses...Crouch! Against Man city got champions league qualification. I went nuts at my desk at Symantec in goodge street where I was a temporary security guard in an empty building.

My first game at the lane was v Middlesboro 3-2 but we was a goal behind with a few minutes to go and brought on Paul Moran and I think David Howells and both scored in the last few mins, unfortunately remember getting done over by a dozen boro fans on my way out more... My old man left me there and run off...when I kicked my way out of the boots in my face I ran after him and asked why he left me there...he said "I didn't see you" ...a day I would rather forget.

Watching Live

1. Danny Rose v Arsenal in 2009/10 - the scenes at WHL that evening were epic - another level to anything I have experience at a Premier League match. Especially when that thunderbolt flew in!

Oh and, no word of a lie, I genuinely saw someone order a bottle of champagne in the Pride Of Tottenham after the match! :ROFLMAO:

2. Yeah, I'm doing two because that one will probably crop up a lot!

Freddie Kanoute's volley v Everton (h) in 2004/05 season
. I don't know why, I just remember it so clearly and it was an absolutely incredible strike that never really got mentioned

Watching on TV

1. When we beat Chelsea (h) in 09/10 - It was a 5.30 Kick off, watched with a bunch of mates (Spurs fans and other London club fans who hate Chelsea).

We absolutely steamrollered them that day and it could have been 7 or 8-1. An epic night out happened after that, everyone on a high because we knew we were on a roll heading into...

2. When Crouch headed in to qualify us for the Champions League - ~Just an amazing mix of euphoria, excitement and - mostly - relief!!

COYS!

(p.s. are you making a programme for SKY or something?! :cautious:)

First game of the 2009-10 season: Tottenham 2 Liverpool 1

Until this game, I'd always taken my son to games I thought we might win: Portsmouth; Villa; WBA etc. But, in the lead-up to this game, I kept preparing him for the eventuality we might lose. And I wasn't alone in thinking this. For the first half hour, both the team and the fans were in awe. This was Liverpool, with all their history and trophies, playing at the Lane and it was only a matter of time before they slowly took control of the game and condemned us to a demoralising defeat.

And then. And then...

A clearance was skied and Carragher and Skrtel ran into each other trying to get to the ball. Oh my lord, I laughed. I laughed so hard. And as the two players lay on the floor getting treatment, there was a real sense around the ground that, although the team we were playing had all this history and all these trophies, well actually they weren't that great and they were there for the taking. And we were going to f**king take them. And we did. 2-1. Benny and Bassong of all people. And it felt bloody marvellous.

And it's that sense. That feeling. That realisation that we can beat anyone on our day, no matter what their reputation. That's what stayed with me. And it resonates every time we play. That hope. That sense that we can beat anyone in any given match.

That and 38,000 people singing "Self-Defence. You're having a laugh" as Gerrard stepped up to take the penalty...

What a day.

In no order, some already up above, but briefly the moments and the emotions I cannot forget:
-7-1 defeat to Newcastle. Try hard to forget.
-Bentley's equaliser vs The Scum at the Emirats.
-Lennon's equaliser in the same game
-Kaboul's winner for 3-2 vs The Scum at the Emirats and Wenger throwing the water bottle down
-Danny Rose's rocket of course
-VdV's goal vs The Scum and the celebration
(a recurring theme)
-Kane's goal vs. Chelsea last term
-9-1 vs Wigan and Defoe's 5
-Machine Gun Mendes' goal that never was.

I really don't get to many live games so I'd say my favourite live experience would be the 5-0 v Newcastle. The crowd chanting "Harry Redknapp...we want you to stay" after the drama of the court case and Capello's resignation. An amazing performance and an incredible atmosphere. It even had this lovely bit of skill from Benny (which was probably technically against the rules of the game).

As for games in the pub or with mates, that's a bit more difficult.

Watching the 5-1 v Arsenal with my cocky gooner house mate was fun. Watching the 4-4 v Villa with my prick of a Villa-supporting house mate was satisfying (really should have looked for better house mates).

Beating Oil Money to qualify for the CL was an odd one. Went down to a pub on my own to watch it, but was so tense by half-time that I left and didn't think I'd be able to watch. Ended up walking up the road and straight into a little bar that was showing the match. There were only about three other people in there and they were all Spurs fans too. Even so, the place erupted when the final whistle blew.

I think the winner has to be going to a crowded pub for a Spurs v Arsenal game. This utter cock of a Gooner sat down at the table next to ours and was drunkly shouting at the screen from the second it kicked off - "fuck these yid ****s up...fucking bottler scum" etc.

Then right in the middle of one of his rants, this happened...

And a room full of people celebrated right in his moronic face.

Being ill and having to give my Grandad my ticket to Spurs Wigan, and watching it on a crappy stream realising I'd missed out on being at a game that would probably never be repeated.

That said, will more than likely be the last game my Grandad got to at WHL, so not so bad.

Oddly enough, Gomes save against Van Persie in the game we beat Arsenal in the season we won CL. Was in the pub with an Arsenal mate his face was a perfect picture of disbelief. The sort of face you'd have on you if somebody strolled up to your table, undid his belt and quickly but ever so gently dipped his balls into your pint.

That and Crouchies header against City.

First Spurs game was away to Man City. Went with my uncle who was a City fan. At the old Maine Road. Was sat in the home end with the City supporters behind the goals. Campbell was a beast and Huckerbee nearly scored an overhead kick only for Neil Sullivan to save it with what only be described as an impossibly graceful swan dive. It was a bore 0-0 draw until the 90th minute when we (completely against the run of play) went up the other end of the field and Rebrov slotted home with more or less the last kick of the game. Will never forget my uncle leaning over to me and telling me to stop smiling quite so obviously whilst the home end I was sitting in broke down in frustration. One man cried real tears. It was beautiful.

Had to think about it .. There are some great memories right from the start.

One of my favourites was at the old Highbury when two Arsenal defenders clashed while Keane was running past them, they both fell dramatically looking for the ref to stop the game but Keane scored.

IIRC it was 1-1 with Woolwich getting a jammy goal as usual

For live games with a positive outcome the atmosphere was amazing at west brom last season. Great performance as well.

Possibly my most memorable day at the footy was losing 5 1 to middlesboro. Due to the good ol british railways i had to get 2 buses and 3 trains to get there. 6 hours total from Leicester. Got put in a pub by old bill which was promptly set on fire. Got marched to the ground and treated like shite by boro stewards who wanted to fight everyone. After the game it went off at darlington station. Got put on a train to london by transport police which thankfully stopped at Peterborough. Finally got home at 1am. Great craic and bantz there and back, football was inconsequential.

In the pub, defo crouch vs mancity. Was slightly in favour man city in there but i was with two man yoo and we went bsc. Drinking on a school night? You bet. Wasted

On telly at home, when bale hit the winner at west ham. I went so mad i woke the littlun up, and had half the street out thinkin there was a domestic. Nosey bastards.

1) the 1-1 draw with arsenal in 05-06 where Wenger and Jol squared up. I remember thinking we've arrived and are finally not shite anymore and was singing my heart out with more pride than ever before

2) the 125th anniversary game vs Villa where we came back from 4-1 down, I went fucken mental and got a final warning from the landlord. Even when we were down 4-1, you could sense the tension in the crowd pushing the team to fight back as we were sitting in the bottom 3 at that stage.

I know we've played better and more important games but I've never been through such a roller coaster of emotion from utter utter disapointment to unbelievable relief and joy in a football game

I'll never forget that time when we won that big game against that team. What a great match that was...or at least I think it was.

The 2-1 against Chelsea under Jol has to be up there. Keane dumping Boulahrouz or whatever you called him on his arse...and Martin Tyler screaming Aaron Lennon when he scored the winner.

Obviously the 4-3 against the Spammers.

I also loved that match against Blackburn - the 3-2, and the goal Keane scored that day will live long in the memory - and the Mido header.

Rose's screamer in the 2-1...Bentley's 40 yarder at the Emirates. The scenes at City when Crouch scored.

And what about that mad game against Reading! the 6-4, where Berbatov ran riot. Crazy.
