Not going to City, haven't got BT and don't want to go to a local pub to watch because I live in Finsbury Park and Arsenal are at home so they will be full of Gooners.

So I think i will drive up to Tottenham and watch it.

As I only go in pubs there on match days, not sure where will be best. Do Spurs fans congregate in pubs near the ground to watch away games on TV? Any thoughts on where there is a big tv and some atmosphere in Tottenham for an away game?

I swear, Spurs Community has ZERO Tottenham locals in its membership. Any time there's a thread seeking local info, it gets about zero replies, or one if the OP is lucky. @riggi has saved the day on this occasion but he might not even be a local. But sometimes you might as well post in a Southampton forum.

Londons a big place and you only have to go a mile down the road to he considered not local. A vast amount of our fanbase comes from the Enfield area and surrounds.

But do you only have to go a mile down the road to not know anything about Tottenham pubs?

Most people can only offer informed choices about pubs they regularly visit, and most probably only visit spurs pubs on matchday.

There are something like over 7000 pubs in London so people tend to just know there locals.

There will be folk on here who live close but Tottenham isn't really our catchment anymore due to the cultural changes in the area and the families moving further out.

But surely people could still tell him about their goonerless locals outside of Tottenham and suggest he goes there. The OP said he was thinking of driving up to Tottenham but that doesn't mean he won't be willing to go to Enfield for example instead. He said Tottenham because that's the obvious choice. I'm thinking that it's less about there not being any Tottenham locals and more just that everyone is a lazy bastard who can't be bothered to help their fellow member out. Plus that they are not lateral thinking enough to think that he might be open to not just having to go to a Tottenham pub.

If the Bricklayers isn't open on non match days, there's a few on the High Road between the stadium and Bruce Grove which should show it.

On a separate note, anyone know where spurs will be drinking in Manchester before the game? I haven't been City away since Bent scored a couple in a 2-1 win up there...

The Hope and Anchor, the Tottenham pub in Crouch End is pretty good for Tottenham away games. Close to Finsbury Park too.

Gonna promote my pre-match boozer of choice and suggest The Volunteer near Tottenham Hale. It's small compared to Bill Nick say. But its a Spurs pub, Kronenbourg on tap at £3.50 a pint, friendly lot either side of the bar.

I live in Chelmsford. I used to go bar 41v but its closed down. Try the golden fleece near the station. The Anchor down moulsham street is a spurs pub. All the pubs will have a good turnout for Tottenham away games. Shame bar 41 isn't open anymore as that would get packed at times.

My mate lives in Tottenham Hale and walks down to our match day 'local' The Antwerp Arms to watch our away games... Says it's a pretty decent crowd and atmosphere in there.

My mate lived on that road. Went before and after a game few times, 'twas ok. There's something going on with the ownership there, they were trying to get crowd funding or something.

I embarrassed myself there once asking if I could pay by card. They told me "this isn't a facking west end wine bar mate".

Indeed it is not.
