Annoying that two money clubs like United and PSG are both looking at number 9s this summer. If we do sell Kane we're going to have to offer silly wages/fees to attract someone like Muani to Spurs with those 2 competing for his signature (well...whichever one doesn't get Hojlund).

Makes me think we'd be more likely to end up with someone like Vlahovic or more of a hybrid striker/wide forward type. Can't see us getting Muani, really.
One of them will get Vlahovic and one of them will get Hojlund. I assume that Bayern will get Kane. Juventus will get either David or Lukaku. We all know that Real is going to get Mbappe. I am not sure about Chelsea but I guess that they are happy with Jackson. So that really leaves us to get Kolu Muani. But whether we agree the fee with Frankurt, that remains to be seen.

I know we are obviously talking to him but I honestly can’t help feeling this ends up with Richy being the primary striker and we get more of a cheaper young promising back up option.
I feel like it ends up with Richy being the primary striker and Son being the back up option 🙄

Tbh I think Son might actually be better playing through the middle under Ange, but either way I think we'll need to sign some kind of forward player if Kane goes.

Yea I can’t see us not signing a forward whether that be Muani/Vlahovic or someone else.

We wouldn't actually be short but you're asking for a couple of players to step up. I'd much rather sign someone and I'm sure the club will. I just doubt it would be as much as this guy will cost. Vlahovic seems the more likely given our long running interest but a right attacker could be more suitable. For now we would look like this without Kane.

Son/Richarlison
Soloman/Perisic---Kulusevski/Gil
Not sure who should make way. Probably Gil as Perisic looks useful in attack. Soloman is more a replacement for Gil stylistically anyway. Although Perisic is only short term but sort a good loan for Devine and he could be a wide attacker for the future. Same for Scarlett who could be the long term replacement to Son. I'd be tempted to go get a top right forward and go that route but even this guy seems more of a central forward. Although Soloman looks fine on the right too so if there was any chance of Chiesa for the left I would prefer that to Vlahovic.

I agree we definitely should, but I feel like we’ve gone into many a season with 1 recognised striker and then hope that players like Son or Lucas could do a job. Son no doubt can, but then it makes us weaker on his side

Think he'd be awesome for us with the football were looking to play really good player.
If it was me tho I'd put a bid in for alvarez at City, hes the most perfect striker I can think of for ange and think he'd love being the main man.

There's definitely a case for Son up top. It's nice that we have versatile forwards in Son and Richy. If Kane goes and we can't get a top striker then a very good dribbler who plays off the left would be a great investment (they said this in the recent Tifo vid if anyone saw it?). My feeling is though, with Levys very basic football knowledge, he will think he needs to sign a striker to appease the fans. In reality I think most would be happy with whatever Ange is happy with even if it seems a bit unorthodox to some at first.

More like best not to get hopes up on him. No way we would spend the money required to get him and some may find it hard to swallow but why would a player followed by so many big clubs come to such an unstable club who aren't even in Europe

I don't think we could agree the price of a packet of biscuits right now.

You're probably right but sometimes when the transfer merry-go-round happens and a club like us suddenly has a huge amount to spend after selling a massive player like Kane, transfers that previously seemed very unlikely can happen.

It's weird looking back but at the time no-one on SC thought we had a chance in hell of signing Lamela who was deeemed to be Totti's successor off the back of an amazing season for Roma but we got him with the Bale money. Nor could they believe that we managed to get Eriksen, who had been linked to every big club in Europe for years. And we didn't even have CL at the time.

I'd say this transfer is certainly unlikely but stranger things have happened. Spurs is still a big step up from Frankfurt, even if we're not in Europe.
