Richarlison did not deserve not to win. My player of the Match. Bad day at the office in my opinion

Our defensive set pieces are an absolute mess and without watching back it's hard to pinpoint if there are individual errors that cause that or if the collective isn't set up well enough. That is what ultimately cost us and we can't blame that on injuries or returning players or players who aren't used to the system any more.

Richarlison MOTM. Love his form atm.

Who's working on our set pieces these days?

Richy had goals and Micky was absolute class. Loads of weaker performances including Bentancur and Romero

Went with Mickey because he probably prevented more goals than Richy scored.

Richarlison goals were terrific but on overall performance I'd give it to VdV who didn't put a foot wrong.

9 VdV
8 Richarlison
7 Maddison, Romero, Udogie, Porro
6 PEH, Bentancur, Porro, Deki, Skipp, Sarr
5 Johnson, Werner

We need more from our wingers. I like the possession that Gil provides in his cameos

Richy clear MOTM. VDV was immense. Madders was decent for me…
Romero had a shocker

Richarlison MoTM and VdV was excellent. Not much to say about the rest.

VDV and Richy were fantastic. The rest of the defenders did ok. Most of the time. Although, I don't like how often Udogie seems to lose focus.

The midfield and wingers were a real problem today. PEH seemed to be the only one who was switched-on, which is not great when he also is the most limited one.

Bentancur, Timo, Brennan, and Maddison (at least in the first half) were way too passive and simply reacted to what was going on.

Ange... Not sure what he was thinking at the end. He talks about the players still lacking conviction at times, but his final three substitutions seemed to show very little conviction in his own philosophy. We don't need that.

BUT, it's not the end of the world. There are still many positives. And I'm sure both Ange and the players will learn from it.

Best: Richy and VdV.

Worst: Deki. It doesn't matter if he wasn't the worst player on the pitch until he conceded that free kick. If you do things like that, you're the worst player on the pitch.

The obvious MoM is Richy. But I've gone for VDV instead. So calm and assured at the back, just like Vertonghen used to be.
Unlike Vertonghen he has blistering pace, obviously and given our high line system, that is exactly what we need.
