Bentancur made a huge difference in midfield, we must need to find the right partner for him.

Kulusevski worked hard down the right with Royal.

Romero stood out at the back. Only decent performance there.

Thing is we pressed and attacked really well first half. I don’t blame him for sitting on a two goal lead. Could’ve gone up 3-2 if Perisic converted his chance. What happened happened, but his plan probably works if it wasn’t mistake after mistake by the defence/gk in the second half. I mean how can he control what Lloris and Lenglet do? We have no evidence to suggest that pressing the same way in the second half would work, and game state plays a role into that too. Lastly, I agree if I had to pick, Emerson would be motm.

But did we attack well? We are blaming our defenders yet the man city goals were of a much higher quality compared to ours. Our goals were gifts.

If take out all mistakes, ifs and buts from both sides, we still lose. Can't take the mistakes from one team only.

Lloris could have done better on two of the goals
Perisic good in first half then a nightmare spell cost us dearly
Royal good performance and great commitment to make that run for his goal
Davies lots of effort and lots of mistakes that’s him I’m afraid
Dier didn’t do a lot right or wrong but another that just adds to the panic
PEH decent first half but invisible except for waving arms in second, not good enough
Son just not at the races, poor

Kulu, Bentancur, Kane and Romero all good performances and Bentancur MOTM by some distance from Kulu.

Bissouma looked decent with his minutes, Lenglet bad mistake while Seas watched on doing nothing. Richarlison ran around like a headless chicken.

Conte feel for him they were 4 poor goals to concede due to Spurs errors not City ripping us apart.

Lloris 2 - Needs to be dropped a while now, scandalous pawing at the ball, never been brave, but embarrassing tonight
Royal 6 - Not the worst out there tonight and grabbed a goal
Romero 7 - Never a booking, but coped well with it, only one of back 5 worth keeping
Dier 2 - Never was nor never will be good enough, continues to hoof passes all over the place
Davies 2- That good patch last year was obviously an anomaly, another thats not good enough
Perišić 2 - No longer has legs for wing back, sess no better, real problem area, would play him in Sons position, where he plays for Croatia
Bentancur 7 - Bright spark until he tired, lead the press, made the 1st goal, class above those around him in the middle
Hojbjerg 2 - Crap, sideways, backways, kills attacks, trotting back waving hands at everyone else, sick looking at him
Son 1 - How is he still starting? A virtual passanger now
Kane 5 - Limited service, but normally raises hi game for this one
Kulusevski 6 - Needs an attacking wing back so badly, Royal did it for a while, but got pushed back.
