From Captain couragous to Captain Calimity. Hugo at fault for their goals. Without his brain farts we win this game.

Bentancur was immense. Tried hard to change the game for 90 solid minutes, but alas, his teammates bar Kane were just below his standards.

Kane was awesome the 1st half hour before the goals, then disappeared apart from the goal.

Others not worth mentioning at all.

P/S Lloris and Dier might as well be court jesters.

The usual suspects cost us again. Blame Conte all you want, but those players do themselves no favours. Why does Dier stop running when Lloris cocks up? What was Lloris doing for the second goal? The defence was below par, as usual.

Bentancur MOM, worked his nuts off. Lloris WTF!! Catalogue of defensive errors for both goals from Lloris, Dier, Sessegnon and Lenglet. Nothing sticks up front and Emerson is just hopeless going forward. Bissouma tried hard to get us going in midfield. Good to have Skipp back but picked up a cheap card.

Newcastle time wasting fucktards and I hope someone plants a boot firmly in Callum Wilson's bollocks when I'm watching.

Showing what we are with these tactics. Good against relegation fodder teams who can’t score goals but mediocre against top ten teams. Pretty much the performance and result I had resigned myself to.
no one deserves motm

8 Bentancur was terrific. Great control and mobility
7 Kane & Bissouma good
6 Skipp & Son average
5 Sessengon (always looks nervous), Royal (offers so little in attack)
4 Lenglet, Sanchez & Dier. All poor
2 Lloris - culpable for both goals. Need to look for long term replacement

Subs
6 Perisic, Davies
7 Moura - tried to make things happen
5 Doherty - offered little

2 Conte - Needs to trust our more creative players. Why put on Doherty ahead of Gill. Why not go back 4?

Hugo 2 ....point for each goal he cost us.. should have been updated years ago...
Entire defence even the subs......4
Not one of them the quality required let's be honest here.
Bissouma 6.....up until the goal was running the game, faded and then got better.
Bentacur 8. Our best player.
Skipp....6 wasn't bad for his first game back...
Sonny..4... missed too many chances.
Kane 7...... if only we had 11 Harry's..worked so hard to get us back in the game..

Conte..GIVE Spence a fucking game.. FFS

First game of the season. Probably the last. Whilst we continue to play this way. Embarrassing.

Bentantcur and Kane can hold their heads high, the rest should be ashamed of themselves.
Lloris - Abysmal, weak, woeful distribution and his errors are coming all too often.
Royal - A wing back who offer nothing going forward and you can visibly see the reluctance to pass the ball to him, God knows how he started ahead of Doherty today.
Sanchez - a liability with the ball at his feet, but not as bad as Dier today
Dier - atrocious, kicked long ball after long ball today, none of which gave anyone a chance, except one. Had he played to the whistle he likely gets back on the line to stop their first goal. Like Sanchez nowhere near good enough with the ball at his feet, even though he played in the middle for yrs. i think if he plays in a back four he is found out in no time.
Lenglet - on todays performance he will be heading straight back to Barca, weak as water for Almiron goal.
Sess- no end product, but we are saying that for a long time now, not good enough for a Conte system that relies so heavily on wing backs.
Bentantcur - the pick in the middle
Bissouma - I cannot figure out where the Brighton Bissouma has gone, looks a shadow of his former self.
Skipp - Ok in first 20 minutes, got forward well, can be forgiven for fading on his first start.
Kane - Where would we be without him, gets his usual goal.
Son - Tried early on, no joy, faded as game progressed, good ball for our goal., but still a shadow of his usual self.

Moura - not good enough anymore for a team striving for top four
Peresic - Sess in disguise, poor end product and has been very disappointing over past month.

Conte - His football is bearable when you win, but when you lose like we did to Utd and today its pretty hard to digest. He has to take responsibility for the constant picking of Royal, who offers less than nothing going forward. He is also paying the penalty for yrs of poor recruitment, when you look at our bench and I genuinely wonder how content he really was with our summer recruitment?

We are miles off competing with City and Chelsea are looming on the horizon as well and willing to spend their way to success as usual, not to mention the Woolich scum getting off to their best start in yrs. You have to figure Utd will continue to build and Pool will put in a run at some stage making top 4 extremely competitive and difficult unless we start to find form ourselves.

I see a lot of blame directed towards Conte but I tell you what to many of our players don't help themselves. Conte has rotated and changed systems and again we have a core group of players that have seen mangers come and go and get away with slackness.

Sanchez Davies Emerson Doherty Dier Lloris Moura there's plenty room for improvement.

Bentacur was excellent. Kane showed glimpses of being excellent.

Cancel out Hugo's errors we are well in this game. Just like we could have been against Arsenal.

Unfortunately we were chasing a game and Newcastle done excellent at gamesmanship and running down the clock. We put ourselves in that situation by giving them a two goal Headstart.

If Richy, Kulu, Pierre and Romero are playing maybe its a different scoreline.

Another poor result but for some reason we are still up there. God knows how.

Hugo 2 - Embarrassing, especially after the the Man Utd embarrassing from Dier, JUST PUNT THE BALL OUT, what are you trying to do? if you got by Wilson you would probably kick the ball out of play anyway! we all know you are shit with the ball at your feet, we've put up with it for years, you will never ever get better in this regard, just PUNT THE BALL OUT
Sanchez 4 - targeted as the one to cough up the ball the most, and they were correct
Dier 2 - Good god awful, needs a benching, can you see a proper defender arguing for a call after Lloris fffs it up, no of course not, they run back to the goal and easily clear the chip
Lenlget 4 - best of our "ball carrying" defenders, torched by almiron
Sessegnon 4 - ran around a lot, torched by almiron as well, some good chances to put in a good cross, but can't/won't/doesn't
Emerson 4 - good defending, ran a bit, made one good pass, offers so little in the forward third
Bentancur 7 - our MOM, cultured display in the chaos
Skipp 5 - Lively, good runs, some sharp passing
Bissouma 5 - also lively, showing better for the ball, some misplaced passes
Son 5 - better movement, better physicality, terrible finishing, at least he was challenging 50/50s in the air which we all know he is going to lose, but in doing so creates enough confusion that we won the second ball on a couple of occasions, as opposed to the non effort with the short defender for ManU that lead to their opener
Kane 7 - with Bentancur as the only 2 players who showed any real composure or quality

Perisic 4 - I thought he was "world class", he hasn't showed it
Moura 5 - great energy, playing to his strengths which is chasing bouncing balls, and hoping one of them will bounce off him in a team positive way
Docherty 4 - no impact
Davies 4 - no impact

Conte - 3 if you really mean "fight to the death" you'd have pulled Lloris at half time
