You mustve watcjed the 1st half only. 2nd half he was back to his laboured best, but i guess the urgency was gone already as we needed to avoid injuries

Yeah I think the whole team took a little step back in the 2nd half which is fine to me. We were 4-0, still in control and creating a few openings plus we have a midweek game so I think that's understandable. I would have maybe been concerned if we did that being only 2-0 up at HT :)

And @T-Spur?

What a difference a quick start makes. CP looked shell shocked once we got going and it looked like they planned to take us on rather than clog their end up. Proved to be a big mistake if they were expecting all the sideways and backwards stuff.

My MOM was Toby.

Son was lethal- Serge was very good. Great energy, press and desire from pretty much everyone.

Poch has evidently made it clear we’re much better passing forwards than sideways. Hopefully the sad ghost of strange Ray Wilkins is truly exorcised

Lloris had little to deal with other than the elementary, bit he dealt with it well and remained focussed. Good to see him getting his first clean sheet of the season, and his throw did set us off for the best team goal we’ve scored in god knows how long.

Aurier had a very good game, his crossing was direct and dangerous (often first time too) while defensively he was dependable. Needs that performance to be the norm.

Alderweireld mopped up well the couple of times we were breached, great array of passing including for the first goal and kept his concentration up.

Vertonghen has little to deal with, good cross field passing, also kept up concentration levels.

Rose gave great energy, dealt with Zaha well, still no hint of a decent cross though and seemed determined to get a second booking.

Sissoko offered lots of energy, used his physicality well, particularly to kick of the move for Lamela’s goal with a lovely tackle and turn, but a fair bit also broke down through him unfortunately.

Winks displayed pretty neat, very involved, good variation of passing and appeared to be more purposeful with it, would’ve liked him on with Ndombele.

Eriksen probably won’t be that noticed as he wasn’t involved in the goals but he played some sumptuous angled balls into the box and linked the attack really well.

Lamela showed great energy, lovely finish for his goal, he led our press and drove us forward. Wasted a few attacks through indecision.

Son, occasional selfishness aside, was my MOTM, lovely goals, involved in Lamela’s too and passed well too. Kept the opposition defence guessing and frightened.

Kane never had a chance in front of goal but a beautiful assist for Lamela, involved himself much better, some lovely quick passing and dictated play from the front,

Ndombele had a good run out, moved the ball quickly, showing skill and energy.

Davies did well, committed, in tune, no ring rust at all.

Lucas had a great dribble, I was gutted when I was scythed down.

There’s an element of ‘were Palace that bad or us that good’ about this game but I was delighted to see the return to 4231, the high press, a quick committed start and some slick passing leading to great goals. I’d suggest that we have a gear above this, but that this performance wins most matches home and away.

Welcome back the real Spurs. Seemed to have sorted whatever went on midweek. Crisis what crisis?
The Poch and Toby show. That's the way to do it.

Lloris......,,,.6......Donating this weeks wages to the food bank
Aurier....... 7+...Shut his critics up until he plays again.
Toby.......-..9.......Majestic and positive. Here to stay. MOM
Jan..............7+....Behind the scenes stuff if any not affecting him.
Danny........7.......Played OK against their best player. Nothing much positive. Living on the edge as usual.
Moussa.....7........Bit hurried but that's like saying water is wet. Ndombele threatens his place.
Winks.........7+....Busy and effective as usual. Him and Moussa must be the worst midfield pair at shooting in the whole world.
Eriksen.......7.......Quietly effective.
Lamela.......8.......Lively and busy. Led the press, well taken goal.
Son..............9.......At his best, movement and goals. Both beauties.
HK................7+....Roamed up front with intent. Good assist.

Ndombele..........good return to team. Looks as if he can tackle pass and chew gum.
Davies..................Fitted in seamlessly.
Moura..................Brief handful

What was also great was to see the options on the bench. It was a very strong squad we put out, and that’s with Lo Celso and Sess still missing. There’s quite a few players that will have to fight to get in this team now, Dele, Dier and the rest. It’s a quality squad when all are fit.
