Great team effort. But Hugo kept us in front when we were under the pump.

Five shots, four goals, well done Sonny and Deki

The Captain. Kept us in it after Villa had a great first half. Lot of pressure on us, but he just made quality save after quality save.

Closely followed by Sonny and H.

Hard to go against a player that scored a hat-trick but Villa would have been 2 up at least if not for Hugo so had to go for him.

Any one of Lloris, Son or Romero can be MOTM.

Lloris kept us in the game in the 1st half, but Son scored a hattrick, but then Romero was a RollsRoyce in defence. Hard to choose.

Kane a close second and Hojbjerg third.

Hugo was the game saver first half - had to be motm.
Closely followed by Son who was for once clinical
Special mention to Deki who works so hard for the team. He is what we have lacked for ages - someone who can hold a ball up under pressure, holds a position, works back as well as forward, can actually pass a ball to a teammate, make assists and scores goals. Such an upgrade from Moura who really tried and gave his all but continually lost possession.
Hat trick goal of Son embodied ell that is good about Deki. Move to goal started with Deki under pressure in the right back positon . He managed to keep the ball and lay off to Royale. Ball goes forward into Son who brings it wide. Deki goes running past in support and ball gets played to him. Attacks the box, but then holds it up for others to support, Harry and Sonny take up their positions and Deki takes right option plays good ball to Son for him to finish first time.
Cannot believe how much the team has improved with 2 additions and Romero return.
7 games to go and somehow we now have CL for next season in our own hands which had not foreseen a few games ago. Here's hoping cos we are actually playing football again the belief in the team has grown with the Conte style being visible. It all shows what is possible, heres hoping the possible becomes reality.

Hugo motm for me. He was Twizzle in that first half in which we didn't really show up apart from Son's early goal. Romero was my next most consistent player throughout both halves. 2nd half, we transformed as a team in every way. Front three all exceptional and dovetailing beautifully as a fluid, seamless and lethal unit.

It's becoming increasingly difficult with each game to distinguish which of the three has the standout performance, which is a testament to just how well they work together; and scary to think they will only improve that understanding under Conte.

Thought the ref was a disgrace, particularly first half. There were repeated, scything, Gerrard-type tackles from 20 years ago for which he would have been booked even at that time. That also contributed, at least in part, to our poor first half performance and succeeded in rattling us.

Second half Bentancur and Hojbjerg exerted control of the midfield as Villa's intensity dropped. Full marks to Conte, particularly for making all this work with the WBs he currently has available. Hope Doherty's injury isn't too serious as he's played an important role in our recent success.

We overcame a very difficult challenge today and we won handily in the end despite struggling in the first half. Loved Conte's post-match summation regarding the game; his highlighting of the considerable positives of the performance along with
identifying the areas we need to improve.

Roll on Brighton!

Hugo was insane in that first half. Really earned his clean sheet. MOTM for me.

Son a very close 2nd for his goals.

Kane & Kulu were also superb in the 2nd half.

Only Hugo in the running for MOTM, without his first half heroics we go into Halftime well down.

Son a hatrick and clinical finishing which on any other day would have been a certainty for MOTM but not today.

Special mention for Kulu who made Mings look like the cart horse he is. Romero and Bentancur showing the value of what they’ve brought to the team.

disappointed with Ref who really needed to be a lot better lucky no one was seriously injured.

Seems churlish not to give MOM to Son who scored a hat trick but it has to go to Lloris for his brilliant first half performance. Without him we go in at half time a goal or two behind.
A very special mention for Romero who just coolly intimidates forwards. He’s like a Mafia hit man taking out all who dare to oppose us. Awesome performance.

Gave it to Lloris who somehow prevented us being 4-1 down at HT.

Son, Romero, Højbjerg, and Kulusevski we’re also very good. Kane and Bentancur are just top players even when having an ‘average’ game by their standards.

I’d already decided at HT that Hugo was going to be my MOTM should we go on to win, and despite it being hard to go against hatrick hero Sonny, its a different game and probably result without the captains saves in the first half.

Quiet game from Bentacur, still effective though. Emerson was at moments a bit of a mixed bag but overall positive. Defensively solid. Both get a 6 from me. Didn't see much of Reggie. Everyone else was great.
