The was an article a while back where it said that Real want us to pay more of his wages if he stays a second year. That might be a game changer if true.
If his good form continous to end of season, perhaps it's not unreasonable to split his 600,000/week with RM; with an understanding with Bale that in the next 12 months, Spurs will still be paying him 200,000/week, with the outstanding amount being paid as part of the signing-on fee if Spurs deem that he's worthy of a new contract once his RM one expires.
