my mates met the whole squad in Slovenia. They were in the same hotel. They said most were quite inward and ignorant except for Sandro and Walker. Walker however seemed either very dry or very thick

We need to be in the market for a proper right back come January. Now even AVB has seen the myth of Walker exposed.

Walker needs to be dropped. His form has been awful. He can't make a pass and has been very sloppy. Time for Naughton to get a run of games

Someone mentioned winning the young player of the year has got to his head. I think he needs to be bought back down to earth.

I wouldn't hesitate to sell him whilst his stock is high as whilst physically he is a fine specimen, I just don't see the technique, skill-set and footballing brain to be the player some people think he is/will be.

I don't need to be pointed out winning young PotY and nor do I use that a true gauge of a player's calibre - I have seen enough of him to make my mind up that he is lacking in the attributes that I consider to be crucial for long term success at the highest level which is where we are aspiring to.

I tend to agree. I think we can find better right backs and tbf an award is not always a true reflection of quality. Chimbonda once made the team of the year as right back. Walker has some really good qualities going forward but he is also inconsistent and his defensive abilities are mediocre.

I remember seeing similar posts about bale a few years ago, his confidence was low and he struggled, he is a very young player and needs time to develop, it probably has gone to his head a bit yeh, that is the managers job to bring him back to earth a little and start to concentrate on the job. He got player of the year because his talent is there to be seen he just needs to sharpen up and mature.

Hmm maybe we now understand why they came out with no ambition or drive at all. The numskulls thought Wigan were going to be 'easy.'

he needs to be dropped for naughton right now, but lets not get carried away calling him shit, or saying that he needs to be sold. Wasn't to long ago that we were worrying that United would be tapping him up and that he would go on to be one of the best in the world in his position

right now he is badly out of form, the good news is that he knows and admits he isnt playing very well.

Wigan at home easier than Arsenal or Man City away?

Is the thick **** out of his tiny fucking mind? How dare he belittle Wigan Warriors in this way. What an utter shite bag.

I bet Martinez stuck those words up on the dressing room wall. 'Alright lads, this fucking rotter Walker thinks it's tougher to play City and Arsenal away than it is to play Wigan at home (looks of shock and unbridled anger in the faces of the Wigan players). Ram these words down his twating throat yeah?' At this point Franco Di Santo stands up and begins to shed tears of pure injustice. The lads, Caldwell, Emerson Boyce and Mike Pollit, the real characters of your dressing room, guys any football club would 'love to have around the place' begin drumming on the wall. Others join in, even the usually aloof midfield schemer Ben Watson starts drumming like a man possessed. Amidst the howling, the wailing and the cries of war the drumming reaches a crescendo. Martinez just stands back and watches, a slight semi beginning to take shape in his Armani trousers, thinking to himself 'I'll have them soft southern ****'s for this, just you twating wait.'

“No disrespect to Wigan, but out of the (next) three (games) this is the easiest.”

This is why we have the problems we have - he's not the only one who thinks like this....
