There has been plenty of controversy when it comes to Tottenham vs Liverpool matches in the past and Saturday's clash was no different after Luis Diaz's goal was wrongly disallowed.

The only thing that should come out of all of this VAR controversy is a change in some of the protocols around how it's used. Any clear and obvious error should be correctable and as in rugby, the game could continue while stuff is being analyzed. Naturally, we'd all be praying that Liverpool would be first to fall foul of it, maybe having a legitimate goal chalked off because of a previous infringement.

Last game of the season, they need a win to claim the title and a decision goes against them in the final minute because of all their crying previously in the season. Would be marvellous

They are acting like it cost them a win, if the goal was allowed it would have only given them a draw

Sorry, but that’s nonsense. If the goal had been given a whole string of different eventualities would begin from that point.

Much as I do feel for Liverpool and the injustice of the decision you can’t replay the match- once that sort of thing happens it opens up a whole can of worms regarding other matches in which there were contentious decisions.

lets just learn from it and move on

Yes, we would have been forced to attack with even more impetus for the majority of the match, which would have made it far more difficult for Liverpool to hang on against 11 men.

Yep, we would have stepped it up won 8-1 and they would have had 6 players sent off and their season would be in ruins. At least the way it actually played out means they can pretend to be hard done by.

That will be just about every game ever played.
