I think the best description of most of his goals is that he passed the ball into the net, so accurate and composedThere's obviously far less footage of football from those days so I imagine a lot of his best goals were never filmed, but even in the limited clips we have available you can see that he had some superb technique and was able to craft goals for himself out of nothing - far rarer in an era of crap pitches and more lenient referees that meant a dirty two footed tackle was always just around the corner.
He's long before my time but I imagine there are thousands of Spurs fans that started supporting the club and in turn got their children and grandchildren to support the club because of him. The word legend gets banded around too often these days but RIP to a genuine legend of the game.
