Really? He seems very similar to Townsend? Would love to be proven wrong though.

Have been impressed when I've seen him. Most likely complete tosh of a story but an interesting player nonetheless.

Good player, still a bit raw. I'd like someone who'd come in who already has a bit more culture to their game.

Good player but is he enough of an upgrade on what we already have? Depay is. Konoplyanka arguably is. Mahrez may be but we need to sell first.

No thanks. He is talented but lacks end product. Not what we need.

Looks a very good player but you have to be careful with the relegation fodder studs. Don't forget someone like Hoilett looked world class at Blackburn a few years ago. Even Townsend, who some on here love to slag off, looked an incredible player when on loan at QPR.

I didn't pay attention enough to the players when Algeria played at the WC and didn't really watch much of the AFCON, so I can't comment, but I think his gametime with Algeria may possibly be more indicative as to his level of play.

Wouldn't be opposed to this at all, just something worth considering.

Is he better than Townsend? with Townsend and Pritchard both Tottenham development boys is he any real improvement on the squad/team, also he's scoring record doesn't look great.

When compared against Lamela over similar number of games they're pretty even but if anything, Erik comes out better, especially when you look at his defence score which I guess we all know from the amount of tackling back he does. Kid works his ass off in that regard.

Overall I really like Mahrez, in a struggling team, him and Schlupp have stood out but I'm not sure if he's any better than what we already have.

Well he seemed good mates with Nabil yesterday on the pitch at half time and at the end.

I wondered why he didn't start the match.

Because Sclupp looked 5 times as dangerous? Even for them with his unfortunate own goal :)

Genuinely fast and a real handful. Trouble is he doesn't score that many goals.
