Its not agreed. We have until Saturday to agree it, if we don't we give up our first refusal option and the likes of Liverpool can come in and bid/match their demands.

Ok thanks :) i would deffo question we had first refusal thou. No info about that ever! And we would only get it if we had an agreement with them......

I'm not saying what I said is correct though mate - I don't know. Just interpreting what I think the Cobra was trying to say :)

Still confident? I think everybody is waning. I think the nerves stems from the money being discussed coincided with a disbelief we'd pay it.

He's on less than £30k a week, allegedly we've offered £57k. Osvaldo is on about £65k.

If those numbers are true it might explain why we're willing to break our transfer record for Soldado. Any other striker of his quality could easily require ~£100k/wk. Over a five year deal, Soldado saves us £12,000,000! And if we were after world-class striker at £14m and £100k wages, we'd consider it a no brainer, but the deal costs the same in the long run.

Have been making this point all a long. Its the total package that is truly relevant. People see the fees and think that's the clincher.

Its just normally that big fees are normally commensurate with large wages - unless a players contact is close to running down of course.

Soldado is a bit of discrepancy if you like. That's why we are in for him I believe, or why we think its possibly doable. If he was on wages of 100 k plus we wouldn't be touching it given the size of the fee IMO.

If we gave him £57k per week, he'd also be getting goal/win bonuses as well wouldn't he? On the plus side, he'd have to really perform to reach those targets so it would be a good deal for us.

Is that the SS Soldado heading for the horizon to join up with the rest of the fleet (SS Moutino, SS Villa, etc - all of which sailed a while ago?)

Getting almost pissed off/protective over Soldado in regards to the bin dippers on RAWK puttin him into hypothetical formations, same as I do for Bernard and the scum.

If we lose out on both the aforementioned to top 4 rivals I'll be livid.

Article is by Lewis. Read it. Not a quote or anything, 2 lines about wanting him as Spurs dither and the rest all about Suarez. Rubbish as per Lewis norm.

No, let's not read it - ever. Hits are what these dickheads get paid for, why reward them and encourage further examples of this 'journalism'?
Spurs fans should boycott all tabloids - they know shit, they talk even more of it and speak negatively about our club to an almost destabilising degree. (n)

Good article on the state of affairs at Valencia. Seems they do have to raise 17m euros to make a payment to their creditors very soon.

Last heard they need to raise EUR 14M after some player sale. Hence the payment of 15M upfront. So you can see why the negotiations becomes tougher esp with a club like Valencia that is under duress. THey are fighting for survival and need to maximise every single asset.

Maybe Levy should consider some form of partnership where we can send our young players there for Laliga exposure... Caroll, Falque, Coultrist.......:)

Lets not belittle this club..... you can see the fans and media is fully behind supporting them. Not sure if the UK media will do that for an English club.
