I am not convinced he is an out an out striker. I think Poch is blowing a bit of smoke to conceal who he really wants
Yep those 20 mill plus bids for Berahino on deadline day, we were just teasing.....

Well let's hope we don't employ the same tactics in trying to sign him that we did in the summer.

Peace has every right not to sell, but it could very well cost him £25mil. SB won't sign a new deal.

Yeah I agree, but Peace strikes me as being as stubborn bastard so I hope that we don't play the waiting game again and assume he'll crack. Because he clearly won't.

Please lets not play this game again. Peace wont sell.

Why? Berahinos not playing for them and he clearly wants to come and doesn't sound like he will sign a new contract and only has 18months left on his current contract so this window is the last chance to get a good price for him because if he carries on not playing what's he going to be worth in the summer? 7/8 m??

If that's who the club wants good, no messing about a one time bid early in January, take or leave it

Plus he knows he ain't going to get the chance to play for them much now and so probably figures he won't make the Euros so he has got nothing to lose sitting on the bench, they effectively have no power over him at all now.

I know he's not like for like in terms of comparing him to Kane, but he's an interesting alternative IMO. A little more pace and trickery and when things arn't going well he'd be capable of making a real impact IMO.

If Kane were to get injured we'd have to adjust but Poch obviously sees something in him to work with. He clearly rates his natural abilities and perhaps feel he could mould him into our high energy style.

If N'Jie hadn't been given incorrectly offside against West Brom, isn't that the type of run/play we'd be wasting 20m on Berahino to get ?

Very underwhelmed if he is our number 1 striker target. Are we really going to adjust our way of playing when SB replaces Kane in the team. Seems an unnecessary risk to me, we've only just figured out how poch wants to play. Will we have to wait another 12 months for the players to readjust when SB plays?
