I wouldn’t agree to this. Why agree to loan him back after agreeing to buy for a decent fee. We take the gamble of him getting an injury whilst playing for them.
Fuck it, I'm signing him on fifa, and there's nothing any of you can do about it.
I’d agree to it for an Ndombele type (world class talent, may give us the edge needed for Lyon to agree to fee) but not Berge (who I’m sure you could find a similar type talent that could come in January).
This makes no sense . You wouldn't agree to loan back a player who might not even go straight into our 1st team for fear of him getting injured, but you would agree to loan back a world class talent who would go straight into our side and possibly make a big difference this season .
Ndombele would have the same chance of getting injured and it would cost us much more if he did. Also Berge could do with playing to continue his development much more than Ndombele would.
It's akin to saying you won't drink coffee because you are worried that caffeine is addictive but you are happy to inject Krokodil directly into your eyeballs using a sick junkies' rusty works.
It has nothing to do with injuries. It’s about convincing Lyon to sell in January. If loaning Ndombele back to them for the Spring means we get him for next year and don’t have to fight City et al for him in the summer then I’m doing it.
All things equal, the teams you’d be fighting for to get Berge shouldn’t be threats. He should choose you. Not so with Ndombele, which is why you may need to do something like buying him in January even tho you won’t have him until the summer.

Just saw that Genk want to loan Berge back for the rest of the season.. thats a bummer.
Probably true.I’ve a feeling that will happen with any of the players we sign in January.
This makes me sad.Genk's sports director has denied that the club is in negotiations with Tottenham. It is the Norwegian newspaper VG that has been in contact with Genk.

A late move for an established central midfielder and centre-half is likely, with Genk’s Sander Berge an option.
