Not if Soldado, Ade and Lamela can start firing. Bringing in, even the forwards we were touted as after was never a quick fix solution. Wellbeck, Rodriguez - hardly 20 goal a season strikers. I still have faith we have more than enough goals across or forward line and midfield.

arsenal: Haven't address their depth issues at CB (Only 2 first team players that are CB's as first position), didn't get a DM and didn't get the striker they needed.
united: Didn't address their CB issue's and don't have a proper right wing back.

Scum and manure will most likely out score most of their opponents, we , on the other hand will most likely struggle against ordinary teams that set themselves up not to get beaten as we don''t have the movement, pace, guile or brains to break them down, groundhog season yet again!!! As for the moneybags teams/top 4, it will be a case of losing by a smaller margin, sunday a case in point!!

That's literally everything in football. If, if, if. What if we signed Messi and he just couldn't cut it in the Prem.

I'm much more confident that Soldado and Ade between them could score more goals than a couple of reasonably big name strikers with no PL experience, or Danny Wellbeck for that matter.

Think we should have bought a proper Right Back as well rather than waiting for Yedlin

Could be a big mistake

One things for sure, we really will get to see if lamela is the real deal this year, as we are going to rely on him very heavily to make things happen.

I disagree with this. I didn't see a lack of commitment. I saw some individual errors against a team much more in tune with their system than we were. We were bullied physically by Liverpool, but we weren't fragile. Wasteful and careless, yes. But the performance, for me, was a world away from the shambles of last season.

They look like a team that know their system inside out, we look like a team learning our system.

That said, we had two guilt edge chances to score and they were ruthless.

Fair play to them, they were the better side on the day, and were the best side in the prem last season for me, I didnt expect us to surpass them within 3 games.

Good timing to have the TW close just after we get a wake up call on our actual situation since it gave every fan who has issues with Club/ Players/ Board/ Coach/ Levy a voice to bitch about everything sundry.

Many of us need to take a step back and a chill pill along with that step. We are now 3 games into a new season with all our transfers finally done. Everybody knew that there will be plenty of work with the lack of direction and guidance our players suffered from last season along with a new HC implementing a new style so why is there such massive panic after a bad day in the office. It is funny for me to see the swing from Lamela/ Eriksen being a world class player to them being donkeys within 1 week. We know our players have potential so give Poch time to bring it out in them.

Our current situation is that we have 6 points going into the season with 6 new signings, mostly defensive, illustrating that Poch/ Levy/ Baldini have identified the main area of concern in our team and worked on them without overpaying for any of our targets. Time will tell but it seems to me like we got good value for money for our new players.

Most importantly, what everybody needs to do, including the board and Levy, is to give Poch and his team time to implement his ethos on the field with players who are willing to buy into it. He signed a 5 year contract, and barring any major disaster, I fully expect him to be the mainstay that we need to lead our team. He is the most important signing this summer by Levy and people harping about MS or MM is just missing the point that without a proper HC, there is no point even if Bale and VDV were still around.

There will be plenty of time to point fingers at supposedly failed transfer plans, bungling by board/ Levy, poor tactics from Poch, donkey players 1/ 2/ 3 come end of the season so can we just calm down and support the team like proper fans do?!

Agree completely. That, in a nutshell was the difference. We play a very similar system and with an identical ethos. The difference was, when they pressed, they pressed with intent. They knew their roles and were committed to the high pressing. They committed fully to it. Our players, and it was clear, are still learning the ropes. We pressed, but not in the same way. Not in the same confidence. You could see our players directing each other when the Liverpool defense had the ball - trying still, to figure out and decide what players were supposed to be making which moves. Liverpool didn't need to. They all knew exactly what they were doing and where they should be. They pressed with full intention. That was the difference.

'If'?!! Ade will never live up to that, Soldado was a rash appeasement buy, Levy acted like a kid in a sweetshop last summer, no real purpose or plan (other than to turn a profit at some point), he would've been better off keeping most of the cash by for this summer so that poch could've have had a better chance at obtaining the players of the desired quality he needed most, instead, as others have said, we're bloated with an abundance of mediocrity that no one is goona take off our hands any time soon!!

The difference was they have quality where it matters whereas we have mediocrity.

We just won't agree on this. I think Soldado is probably our best player, or at the very least, the best footballer in our squad.

My only concern is that we're light up front. Adebayor blows hot and cold, Soldado appeared unsuited to EPL last season and not sure whether he ever will be. Kane is unproven and only time will tell whether he's the real deal or not.

I thought they had a midfield of Allen, Henderson and Gerrard. I dont see much quality difference at all. I saw a better drilled and very confident 'team'.

I think some people are being a bit pathetic. We have a team of top class internationals, we just need to play to our potential and Im confident we will get there.

Im glad we didnt make a silly big money signing to appease people, worked for shit last year.

So your criticism of Levy, was spending the Bale money when it was available, to try and improve the squad for AVB?

You mean, Levy should have known that AVB wouldn't get the performance out of the new and old players, and therefore would be sacked.
Plus you think the fans are mad this window when we signed 6 players, imagine if we hadn't spent any of the money after Bale went. What would the reaction be? Fans saying he's not backing AVB. But Levy could have just said 'guys, don't worry AVB is gone in a few months, and after Sherwood, we'll have Poch next year and I'll give him the money.'

People can't seem to understand how hindsight works.
