I tallied up Jon's threads because I had nothing to do and was killing some time. He can give you the individual scores in each thread but here are the two squads (considering current injuries).

Roy's:------------------------ SC's:
GK
Hart ---------------------------Hart
Green -------------------------Foster
Butland -----------------------Robinson

Defenders
Johnson ---------------------- Richards
Kelly ---------------------------Jones
Jones --------------------------Ferdinand
Terry --------------------------Terry
Lescott -------------------------Lescott
Jagielka ------------------------Jagielka
Cole ----------------------------Cole
Baines --------------------------Baines

Midfielders
Gerrard ------------------------Gerrard
Parker -------------------------Parker
Henderson --------------------Carrick
Walcott ------------------------Scholes
Oxlade-Chamberlain ----------Lennon
Milner --------------------------Johnson
Downing ----------------------Young
Young -------------------------Sinclair

Strikers
Rooney ------------------------Rooney
Wellbeck ----------------------Wellbeck
Carroll -------------------------Bent
Defoe --------------------------Defoe

It's actually shocking how poor the SC squad turns out after injuries, but I guess that shows you how bad the current crop of English players are. Where SC have taken a few risks, Roy has gone for players he knows from Liverpool. The SC squad definitely has more footballing ability and attacking intent but would it really do much better?

Thanks for doing that. (y)

It's nice to see the difference between Engerpoo and SC's England.

Downing, Carroll and Henderson never played under Woy and have been shit this season, this just smells of Ron Greenwood if you ask me. workers and runners seem to be more important than genuine quality

Only 3 out of 8 midfielders are the same. Shocking, that.

Cheers mate. I'm going to check my numbers (as mine are different to yours in a couple of positions) and report back during the second of today's Euro 2012 games. That means that if people still want to vote they can do so up until 7.30 this evening.

I might have made some typos. I just gave first place 5 points down to 5 place 1 point and added the totals. There was only one tie Sinclair and Johnson for 2nd LW and since Johnson was already 2nd on RW I added Sinclair.

Right everyone. as promised here are the results of the SC jury. Firstly, thanks to the 23 people who participated and IOMLS for stealing my thunder above. ;)

The results have changed a bit from earlier so I'll post position by position before giving a final squad. My methodology was to give 5 points for first (10 where 10 names listed) down to 1. I did include those people that didn't give a full list.

Where I've reported the scores I've done it as a % of the maximum possible score (e.g. if a player were to score 2 from each respondent then their score would be reported as 40%).

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart
David Stockdale
Scott Carson

Joe Hart is one of four players to get a 100% rating and is miles ahead of the rest. Ben Foster (65%) came in second with John Ruddy (49%) third.

With Foster having retired from international football and Ruddy being injured, we have to look to fourth and sixth to complete our squad. Fourth was David Stockdale (20%) and sixth Scott Carson (9%). Fifth was Paul Robinson who got 18%.

The rest: Jack Butland, Robert Green, Carlo Cudicini

Right-backs

Micah Richards
Glen Johnson

It was nip and tuck betwen Kyle Walker (93%) and Micah Richards (87%) all the way through with the Spurs man coming out just on top. Every respondent had those two players as their one and two.

With Walker injured we need to go to third. And we need to go a long way to get to a group of four players with little to choose between them. Of those Glen Johnson (29%) just pipped Phil Jones and Chris Smalling (both 25%) and Kyle Naughton (20%).

The rest: Danny Simpson (9%), Nathaniel Clyne (4%), Ryan Taylor (2%), Martin Kelly (2%), Phil Neville (1%)

Left-backs

Ashley Cole
Leighton Baines

Couldn't have been more clear. Everyone placed Ashley Cole first, making him the second player to score 100%. Similarly everyone made Leighton Baines second giving him 80%.

The rest: Kieran Gibbs (39%), Stephen Warnock (16%), Kyle Naughton (16%), Ryan Bertrand (15%), Kieran Richardson (10%), Joleon Lescott (5%), Ryan Taylor (3%)

Centre-backs

Joleon Lescott
Rio Ferdinand
John Terry
Phil Jagielka

This was a very close run thing with Joleon Lescott and Rio Ferdinand both scoring 82%. Gary Cahill followed closely behind with 75% but of course is injured. Fourth was John Terry (62%) with fifth and the final squad place going to Phil Jagielka (56%).

Let's say that, if the FA decided to leave out one player over the whole Terry/Ferdinand debacle, and had chosen the right one (you know, the one actually accused of doing something wrong) we'd need to choose another player. It wouldn't be sixth place Ledley King (41%) due to his injury but it was notable that Ledley was picked in less than half of squads but the vast majority of those that did pick him had him 1st. So, if Terry were left out for 'non-footballing reasons' the player to come in would be Steven Caulker (39%).

The rest: Chris Smalling (35%), Michael Dawson (28%), Phil Jones (26%), Steven Taylor (10%), Ryan Shawcross (9%), Wes Brown (3%), James Tomkins (1%)

Right-midfielders

Aaron Lennon
Theo Walcott

After having been close for a while, Aaron Lennon (88%) ran away with this at the end. Second was actually Adam Johnson (66%) who qualifies as a left-midfielder. As such, the second squad place is taken by Theo Walcott (58%) as he outscored the third placed leftie.

The rest: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (28%), Nathan Dyer (20%), James Milner (12%), Scott Sinclair (4%), Jermaine Pennant (2%), Matt Jarvis (2%)

Left-midfielders

Ashley Young
Adam Johnson

A 100% record for Ashley Young - as someone said in the thread there's a big gap between him and the rest. Second was Adam Johnson (49%). As stated above, with Johnson qualifying in second on both flanks Theo Walcott as third choice rightie keeps out Scott Sinclair (38%) as third choice leftie.

The rest: James Milner (29%), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (22%), Joe Cole (11%), Stewart Downing (9%), Wilfried Zaha (7%), Daniel Sturridge (4%), Andros Townsend (4%)

Central midfielders

Steven Gerrard
Scott Parker
Michael Carrick
James Milner

Well this was a nightmare. Five players that might have made the squad have been left out due to either injury or international retirement. For the record I don't see Carrick as having retired, hence his inclusion, but simply that he didn't want to be on stand-by.

First place in the voting was the injured Jack Wilshere (88%) followed by Steven Gerrard (76%) and Scott Parker (73%). Fourth was Carrick (68%) just pipping Frank Lampard (67%) who is, of course, injured. With one place still to be awarded we go next to sixth place Paul Scholes (54%) who has been left out here as he has retired from international football. Seventh and eighth were two more injured players in Gareth Barry (46%) and Tom Huddlestone (25%). Which means we need to get down to ninth and James Milner (22%) to find our last pick for this position.

The rest: Jack Rodwell (10%), Tom Cleverley (9%), Leon Britton (4%), Leon Osman (4%), Jake Livermore (2%), Phil Jones (1%), Jack Colback (1%)

Forwards

Wayne Rooney
Danny Welbeck
Jermain Defoe
Darren Bent

Our final one-hundred-percenter is Wayne Rooney. How much are we going to miss him for the first two group games?

Second was Danny Welbeck (73%) and third was Jermain Defoe (64%). Darren Bent (50%) took the final spot, just pipping Andy Carroll (48%) and Daniel Sturridge (45%).

The rest: Peter Crouch (36%), Grant Holt (21%), Bobby Zamora (16%), Gabriel Agbonlahor (16%), Theo Walcott (8%), Rickie Lambert (6%), Gary Hooper (5%)

Final squad

Joe Hart
David Stockdale
Scott Carson
Micah Richards
Glen Johnson
Ashley Cole
Leighton Baines
Joleon Lescott
Rio Ferdinand
John Terry
Phil Jagielka
Aaron Lennon
Theo Walcott
Ashley Young
Adam Johnson
Steven Gerrard
Scott Parker
Michael Carrick

Wayne Rooney
Danny Welbeck

So, 15 of 23 in common with the actual squad. My first reaction is how conservative we are as a group. Although some 'interesting' players were chosen in the shortlisting, the vast majority of players above are England squad regulars.

It's surprising that there's no place at all for Phil Jones, who I think suffered for his adaptability, something an exercise like this doesn't pick up. To be honest, I'm shocked Jones didn't outscore Johnson at right-back. But the uni-mind has spoken!

Finally, the squad clearly lends itself to a 4-2-3-1 as such.

Hart
Richards Ferdinand Lescott Cole
Parker Carrick
Lennon Gerrard Young
Welbeck
(Rooney for Gerrard when available).
Arguably the weakest link there would be Lennon who I don't think suits that wide role in the 3. Walcott is probably a better bet. (But again, the uni-mind has spoken!)
So, well done SC. We've definitely done a better job collectively than Hodgson!
