Seems like a strange move for Hodgson. Carson's not the best GK in the league, but is he really that bad?

"Discussions between the Baggies and Bursaspor are ongoing and could be concluded within the next 24 hours.

The 25-year-old England international made 32 appearances for the club last season as Albion only just missed out on a top-10 Premier League finish.

However, with manager Roy Hodgson reportedly running the rule over a series of goalkeeping targets, it appears his time at The Hawthorns could be drawing to a close.

Steve Harper is the latest name to be linked with Albion, who are also believed to be tracking Rob Green, Tomasz Kuszczak and Shay Given."

Just shows you how the media here can kill a person's career, every GK makes mistakes but if they play for the top 4 they are good if they don't, they are shit

That slaughtering after that one mistake, erased all the good work he done to get there, it's a shame really

Depends who they get, i don't think he's that good, but he's not awful. Another move for an englishman abroad though if it materialises with mancienne going to hamburg, maybe more should do this.

Don't know if that's true really. Almunia has faced some pretty damning criticism, and players like Green and Foster are fairly hyped.

I was very surprised that Carson was preferred in front of Boaz Myhill for pretty much every single game last season, for the two seasons Hull were up I thought Myhill was a really good keeper, and far less error-prone than Carson.

Don't think this will weaken WBA.

Carson never lived up to his early hype, not a bad keeer however, and Turkey could be good for him. Away from the hounds that are the english press, in what is actually a decent league.

Oh I agree, I just couldn't be asked to write Cech, VDS, Hart and Reina

Also Green, foster and Carson were hyped then as soon as one of them made a mistake thats it their shit again whereas those gk make mistakes and their lets them get away with it
