Ugh, why do pundits keep wanting to talk about Kane needing pace to be a top forward? There's been loads of world class strikers over the years who didn't have pace and it never affected their games one iota either. Here's a quick list off the top of my head.

Shearer
Lineker
Van Persie
Van Nistelrooy
Van Basten (loads of dutchmen without pace it seems)
Klinsmann
Teddy
Fowler
Raul
Dimi
and many many more.

I get it now. Poch wants Levy to see Bentaleb & Mason vs. Schneiderlin, then Levy is supposed to sign the payment note for the transfer of monetas do the Saints.

My West Ham supporting mate phoned me this morning to say he'd bet £20 on a 3-1 Spurs win, I wish you could shoot someone over the phone. I don't know if I should bet on Southampton to even out the jinx or not, Damn it!

S'ton: K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand, Alderweireld, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Mané, Pellè.

Like I said, we should have stuck verts in as DM today. Tough test for Mase/Bents today.

Is Pauline injured? Plays the best game in a Spurs shirt in a year and gets dropped..?

This is such a short term point of view. No wonder we never give managers time. Fuck sake, stop splitting hairs over short term objectives and be patient.

Yes, it will all be much better next season when he gets 'his own players' etc etc.
It's funny how all of the people who wanted Poch over other candidates, said that one of the main reasons was because he would have an instant impact with the players and would win over the supporters from day one rather than other managers who would take more time.
Strange how that has now gone out of the window and it's all about long term plans again.

Glad Hugo is back and that MoPo has denied rumours he wants to leave. Just hope he's right.

Koeman is actually mimicking Mourinho, who astutely put Zouma in the midfield in the Cup final and basically stifled our CM2 quite easily with what appeared to be an oddly composed 3 in the midfield. It's up to Bentaleb and Mason to show that they are up to the task of adjusting and playing fast, transition football.

The biggest issue for Southampton is lack of end product. Tadic's lack of form has seen him completely dropped, but Mane has pace to burn our high line if we try to press to high up the pitch, so it'll be incumbent on Lloris to be quick off his line.
