Spurs are willing to listen to offers for Joe Rodon

Despite arriving from Swansea City, Rodon doesn’t count as a homegrown player in Europe. Rodon counts as Welsh-trained, just like Ben Davies, and is taking up a non-homegrown spot.
Tottenham can’t really afford to have non-homegrown players taking up spots and not playing games, so Rodon is available.

I just don't get this.?

The player has been pretty much overlooked since he arrived, which to me is puzzling?

His performances suggest a player worthy of game time. There have been a few reports of not following Conte's instructions and not taking on board the patterns of play he wants.

3 managers in a row haven't fancied him.

Really is a strange one, if it's correct he is not doing what is asked by the managers how is he still here, should have been sold or loaned out, I am sure there would have been takers for him.

Headlines like this puzzle me, like we're not open to offers for literally all of our players. Such a weird turn of phrase that gets used a lot.

He strikes me as a confidence player and we can't really say he's been part of a settled, consistent rotation since he arrived. There was a time I had no idea what our first eleven was just a few months back, but if Conte doesn't see him fitting in then best for him to look for a move where he'll get to play. Good luck to him.

Inexperienced central defenders are a luxury our defence cannot afford. Either loan him or sell him.

Never seen anything to suggest he's a first team player. Is he better than the current 3? Sanchez, I can't say as not seen enough to compare. Only time I've wondered why he's not played was when we were getting battered at set pieces. I thought his height / physicality may have helped.

Seems alright in the performances I have seen but if conte doesn't want, then no loss to thfc.

Let's face it, he's no Romero or close to Dier. Ben D is proven and has had a brilliant start under conte.

he must be chomping at the bit for first team games. So no surprise if he is moved on to help improve the team and for his own career.

Whenever I’ve seen him for wales he’s been quality, amazed that three managers have all marginalised him.
Loan or sale to Fulham would be idea for him although I could easily see him doing a job at someone like West Ham.
Real shame

Not as stupid as Dier being classed as overseas because he was trained in Portugal even though an England international
Yeah that’s dumb too but I think this is worse. Not sure how Swansea got around it in 2013/14 season when they played in Europa league- it would have meant that all the over 21 year old players from their academy would have been classed as overseas trained which is just hypocritical

Catch 22.
How do you get to be 'experienced'
if you're not given the opportunity?
Played more for Wales at all levels
than Spurs (34/13)
Looked competent for both.

seems just like Bergwjin he was bought in and just given to the then manager rather than being Jose's choice, a cheap alternative to Jose actual target.
subsequently turns out that Jose and the 3 following managers dont think he is up to the standard required. Obviously what he shows in training isnt to the same level as the other 4

It is very strange as Sanchez has continued to be given opportunity and has put some decent as well as some very dodgy performances in.

Rodon doesn’t seem to have ever been given a crack but there must be a reason three managers have overlooked him and turned to Sanchez and Tanganga as back up options.

To be honest if we get a good fee it would be good given we need to upgrade certain Areas of squad and any incomings would be a bonus.

I agree, not sure why he was bought, can’t image Mourinho wanted him, now he’s wasted two seasons on our bench.
