Spurs FB groups (one in particular...)

Does anyone here belong to any Spurs Facebook groups? Reason I'm asking is because I was invited to join one by a mate and have been lurking for a month or 2 and it's a horrid, horrid site. It's called 'Tottenham Hotspur F.C. (Audere Est Facere)' and for every decent poster there's around 8 genuine idiots. Even SC doesn't have that ratio (I make it 1 in 4 here....) It's run by a power hungry deluded plonker who is possibly the greatest hypocrite on t'interet. An example;

Him: you're not allowed to say 'he's shit' without giving a reason or you're banned, and no abuse to any other poster or you're banned.
Poster: Harry was our best manager in my lifetime so far
Him: BULLSHIT
Poster: it's my opinion that we played the most exciting football under him.
Him: What's with the Harry loving ****s. Redknapp's almost as bad as Sol.

He banned someone for joking about digging Bobby Robson up to be our next manager because it was in bad taste then allowed a Wenger paedo image the very next post. Most on there suck up to him, it's just weird. Gives me a new found respect for Rob.

Is anyone here on that group? Are there any others people can recommend? I should just leave that page but it's like a train wreck, I can't take my eyes off it due to the utter nonsense spouted by a large percentage of the members there. It makes SC look like a scientist's forum.

You would think that people on FB, being unmasked and in public, would try to restrain their idiocy a bit. But then again, if you're a fool with unenlightened opinions you are probably unaware of it. Typically you get the worst behaviour on sites (well, like this) where everyone is anonymous and passive/aggressive personalities can fully express themselves. So SC is an island of sanity in the sea of folly which is the internet. Well, relatively speaking

It's a small group but many good opinions and banter. We have a couple of village idiots on there from time to time but thats just to humour us during the international breaks.

He's just banned someone for literally disagreeing with him on Redknapp.

He posted a picture of Derby with the message 'come on you rams' and then something along the lines of 'let's hope the weasel saggychops loses his job'. One of the posters pointed out Harry led us to 2 x 4th place finishes and that he deserves a little bit more respect than that, then the owner said 'let it fucking go, Harry's in the past' and banned him, even though he brought it up himself, as he does pretty much every day. He even started a thread called 'If QPR lose, Harry will get the sack, Levy wouldn't would he.....' literally hours earlier. Such a horrendous hypocrite. I don't think I've hated any other football fan online as much as him.

Yesterday morning he posted a big big shpiel about how he's cracking down on racist jokes and comments. Yesterday evening, in response to a picture of a sheep/ram with a comment about him shagging it, he replied 'I ain't Welsh'.

I'll try that Glory Glory. I don't want another forum as such, this one's more than enough, but because I pop on to fb throughout the day, it'd be nice to browse some Spurs related stuff on there.

i know Twitter get's a bad rep on here for various reasons but to my mind, Facebook is the Ukip of social media: bafflingly popular, full of people you don't like & racists.

To be honest, I think they're just as bad as eachother for stuff like that. When used properly, they're excellent. But as we all know, there's thousands and thousands of ****s around who use social media (and YouTube!) to spout off personal abuse & racist views.

glory glory on fb was ok, some very good posters and seemed less cliquey than this place can be on occasion. But there wasn't imo as much humour or football knowledge on there as there is on here, lots of very good posters on a range of topics at sc. So i chose here, don't have time for two. I avoid fb supporters group pages now so cant help bomber there but maybe try gg fb.

I belong to When The Spurs Go Marching In and Spurs Memorabilia, both ok with debates and differences in the former without abuse and more wide-ranging football discussions than just Spurs. COYSNEWS has some valid snippets of info on FB too. Most recently, they were the first I spotted to say that Gomes has gone to Watford.
