FYI
Spurs will be sending an under 19 squad (mainly first and second year academy) to compete in a tournament in Germany (Stemwede, North Rhine-Westphalia - about 20 kms from Lubbecke) http://turnier-team-tus-stemwede.de/ on 25 - 27 May if any of your guys in Germany want to see the youngsters in action. If you do, could you post information onto the Spurs chat section - I will probably start a thread a day or so on Spurs Chat a day or two before and Information such as squad details (ask the Spurs coach Alex Inglethorpe or his coaches !) and thoughts on players/matches will be most welcome.
This tournament is one of several that Spurs are probably using to look at players ahead of next season's NextGen Series Tournament http://www.nextgenseries.com/
Will see what i can do, but it's over 4hrs from where I live (so 8 hour round trip)
Hey, funnily enough I'm currently based in Frankfurt. Not sure what it's like in Wiesbaden, but there are quite a few decent pubs/bars for watching the EPL, CL, etc over here. How are you finding it?Have moved to Germany, Wiesbaden... (not far from Frankfurt), if anyone is around?!?!

It's certainly not the most exciting of cities. It's got the skyline, the river, a decent night-life, but all in all it's very... vanilla. I went up to Berlin with some friends for the CL final and it made me realise how bland Frankfurt is in comparison; the whole atmosphere up there is much more vibrant.I have Sky DE at home and they show a ton of EPL games and saw loads of Spurs games, alas moved just as we went on our terrible run, so wasn't great viewing.
Not tried the bars yet as a family man don't get much chance.
Eisgrub in Mainz is an awesome microbrewery though, love it there. Frankfurt is dull though is it not? Banking city, happy to be told otherwise mind you...
Here's an old thread I found (below) - I've been to Louisiana to eat years ago, but never to see a game. I have heard of O'Reily's before, but ever been there. I've spent considerable time in Koln, but not much time in Dusseldorf at all.Hello German spurs! I will be in Dusseldorf for the Man. United game, anyone know a good place to watch it?
Cheers..
Indeed, wonderful place. But alas nay, I am in the Scottish Highlands at the moment. I seem to remember there is a place called the Bank or something like that in Berlin - bar with a banking/financial theme - went there years ago. They had TVs, but I wasn't there for footie. Fun thing was that they had a "ticker" going in the place with the beer prices like the stock exchange and prices changing all the time. If it's still open it could be fun for a match - just a thought...Aaah Berlin, great city. Alas nope, am still in Wiesbaden.
Hi all, I will be in Köln from Thursday night, wondered if anyone knew of any German channels that might be showing the Panathanaikos game, or better still, a pub I can watch it in? I am pretty much going to be limited to the Innenstadt, preferably just the old town.
Maybe this one? : http://www.jamesonpubs.com/
If not I would be trying to search Irish Pub in Cologne and then watch the Live Sports.
I don't think there is a german channel who televise it. In free tv there is normally one game with a german team but there should be pubs with english tv.
yeah, me too, but I'll take Lyon!!! Stuttgart would've been perfect5 hours from my home town, thinking about it
But honestly prefered Stuttgart or Basel in next round
