Loved being there. So nice to get the chance once again to see a live game and experience the atmosphere. Fans did well with chant / singing in such a vast arena. It was also good to experience the South stand. Only problem was I forgot my binoculars and because it was the Arsenal goal in the second half it was a struggle to see any white shirts. I would so like to have been proved wrong and report on a breathtaking attacking display. Arsenal though were toothless thanks to a great team effort.

I will have to watch the game on TV but from where I was it looked like PEH, Harry and Sonny got kicked all over the place. Admittedly in a crowd we are always biased to our team; but was the refereeing as bad as it looked?

Still once again we manage to win a game with only five shots though Arsenal had few more and were far less threatening. World class strikes once again by Son and Kane. Surely the two most valuable footballers in the league. With them our socially distanced football ... keeping the virus down by staying out of the opposition half of the field as much as possible ... is working.

So good to beat the old enemy ???

If every team played like Jose’s team we would all stop watching football. I hated when we lost to ultra negative teams who would score from their 1 chance. But that’s how we play now and I hate it. I wonder what we will do against Palace who play the same way.

Do you still hate it when we are winning and top?

I hope and expect that Jose is building a siege mentality. Make the players watch what the ex Liverpool pundits on sky are saying about how unhappy our players must be and them all slating our style of play. Shows how worried they are and tell the players screw them all and go win it

Haha, why does Alex Scott thinks the players are feeling restrictive playing the Mourinho way. Hilarious. We are top of the table for a reason.

Because despite being absolutely ubiquitous, she is no more insightful than any of the usual crop of pundits and really has no place commenting on top level football.

I don’t think it will last. We will play against very similar negative teams soon and we will struggle playing the same way as them. We have been very fortunate with the games we won. An injury to Kane or Son and we have nothing it seems. Our whole attacking game plan is relying on 2 players to be exceptional to win games. They have so far.

I'd like to take this opportunity to completely reverse my opinion on Aurier, Dier and Lloris. I'd basically written them off but they've all been absolutely magnificent these season. Special word for sissoko as well who always seems to turn up in the big games.

I was the same. Hugo for me has been the biggest turnaround, bar Alisson he is one of the very top keepers out there right now. Some great saves and really leading by example, in the best form i've ever seen from him. Great man management from Jose and i think Ledley likely deserves some praise for the way Serge hardly goes to ground now.

I cant understand the moaning about pundits and commentators, who cares what they say. Their comments dont really influence whether we win or lose. There have been some with very positive comments, some with negative. Why cant you guys allow people to have their opinions without the 'everyone is against us' attitude?

It is because it highlights the complete lack of respect they have for us.

I get where you're coming from and in an ideal world we'd winning by playing mental end to end football like Leeds but the thing is: we've been there and done that with Poch. It was brilliant and we all loved it but we won sweet fuck all.

I'm more than happy for us to sit deep and play Mourinho-ball for a few seasons if we get to spank Arsenal and be top of the table. Don't want to get ahead of myself but, as much as I loved Poch, I already have more faith in this side winning a trophy than I ever did under Poch.

But comfortable.
I'm surprised some people disagree with this, fair enough if they do but I genuinely wasn't tense in any way, other than some of the ref's decisions. I didn't feel they'd score, I didn't think for one moment we were ever last ditch defending and the only real threat in the second half was their crossing which we completely snuffed out with the Ben Davies substitution.

It's not our whole attacking gameplan it's our optimum attacking gameplan so why wouldn't we use it in big important games?

The mental barrier we have overcome by getting these results lately cannot be underestimated. I am now very confident of us doing a job in the cups against the big 6 I could not have said that at any time before this season. Silverware really could be on its way.

I agree. Will be disappointed if we end the season potless.

Our team is grinding out results we have not done consistently in years but since Jose is the manager, people still are being negative. The poster who is saying if teams played like Jose's we would all stop watching, I'm sorry but you need to start paying more attention. Jose is not a one-trick pony. Look at the different ways we have won this season, the only time we sit back is in big games but even then we show better moments of attack than most teams.

We are second in the league in shot creating actions only behind the 500m pound Chelsea squad. We are 4th in the league in goal creating actions and 6th in xG. I know people hate stats in this sport but if you can't tell by watching (which it seems some of our fans can't) then maybe the stats can help you understand we are not a Burnley long ball type team even though the media likes to portray Jose as that.

I will full admit in big games when we take a lead, we drop the block and keep the lead. But would you rather play all out attack and give up leads so we lose those games? If so, I can't help you. But when we play teams we should beat, we show a great attack and so far it has been a joy to watch this year.
