It has to go ahead.

If the PL postpone it will be open season for everyone creating more fixture congestion.

They should think very carefully before granting this request.
They'll call it off mate watch and see, the bunch of corrupt, incompetent fucks lol

Of course every other absentee is not self inflicted. Is it self inflicted that AFCON was moved from June and July until now due to COViD. Those 4 can 100% be counted as covid related. And strong argument that the increase in injuries that all sides are getting is down to covid also, as 1. Players are being overplayed due to covid in their teammates and 2. Players being rushed back too quickly from having covid infections.

all totally justifiable and the rule of needing 13 is there purely to keep integrity of competition

Will it be postponed, well PL have deferred decision to tomorrow morning. Assume that is to see if any further players unavailable after testing and assessments today.

so fingers crossed game on, totally understandable and acceptable if it isn’t
With all due respect, that is the biggest load of bollocks I have read on here in a long time. And that includes everything posted in matchday threads.

Surely if they cannot field a team, and it isn’t caused by COVID then they should have to forfeit the game.

The rule isn't for just COVID though, it can be injuries as well (and probably players away for the AFCON). It's just due to covid the rule has really been used.

It should only be for COVID. There has never been an injury rule in this sport & there isnt one in any other league. Get on with it or forfeit.

Well this is a big load of shit! I'm (supposed) to be coming up from West Wales tomorrow, got two nights booked in Premier Inn (£156) and a rail ticket costing £88! Why can't PL make a decision as soon as the postponement application is made? Do I get on my train at 09.15 with potentially no game to go to. or stay home and potentially miss the game. The rail ticket is refundable if unused but the hotel booking is probably lost if unused.

A**e bar stewards.

It’s like a branch of a major supermarket chain phoning head office, and asking if they can shut for the day because they’ve got too many people away on holiday!!!

I wish the clubs would reimburse with proof of purchase. Like if you could go through a process to recoup the money as it is in no way your fault

Who would reimburse it though? As it wouldn't be spurs, as we didn't call the game off. So it would need to be arsenal or the FA, and can't see that happening!

Imagine the likelihood is that the game is postponed, because the precedent has been set. Arsenal are gaming it like other clubs have (remember ‘Class’-nal?) and they’ll argue these are based on the terrible rules the PL has initiated.

Following the postponement, they’ll clarify the rules so it doesn’t happen again, as they frantically try to fit in another postponed fixture for us...

Either way you’re getting out of Wales so should be chalked up as a win ?

I'm coming from Belfast with my youngest. Flights booked for tomorrow morning so I'm going to go ahead anyway. Like you I cant see why it takes 24 hours to make a decision.

Or alternatively I turn up when the board is totally melting for a totally unjustified reason where of it was other way this board would be arguing 100% opposite to what it is now.

Also remember all Arsenal have done is request a postponement due to having 12 players unavailable, we unilaterally cancelled a fixture when having 7 a list and a b list player unavailable and refused to play, we didn’t seek to postpone we just told UEFA and our opponents that we were not prepared to play despite not meeting requirements.
So Spurs should get off this high horse.

You are right, don't let these idiots get to you, we are all fans of the Spurs here.

Hopefully the Arsenal don't get their way and Gary Kane, Derek Dier and Harry Minks show them who's boss, up the Tottenham!

If they try and get it called off anyone who is listed as unavailable should be instantly ineligible from the fixture should it be turned down that would soon stop people trying to pull a fast one.

Sure they called back that Azeez guy or whatever his name is who’s played in first team and just been playing men’s football. Neville and Carragher outburst will work against them as well they are pretty influential.

Yup Azeez has 8 senior appearances so he will count.

Just about to take off from Switzerland to London for the NLD. My last game was Norwich Away in 2019. Havent been able to go due to COVID and work reasons since then.

To say i am pissed off would be an understatement. Absolutely gutted.

Ridiculous that the PL's rules even allow it. Its their own fault tbh. Clubs start to make use of stupid rules like that. It's normal. Expect our game the last one to be postponed and then they will change the rules.

Do they have to declare which players are unavailable? If so I really hope those players can't play if the game goes ahead.

Looks like yet another fixture to fit in at a later date then. It’s getting a bit ridiculous now. Just give us all the points and move on.
