Maddison has been the worst attacking player and he has not been at it since coming back from injury. Slipping too much and turning into opponents rather than the early season player who was gliding forwards.

Defensively we are disgraceful from corners. We took for granted how good Harry Kane being at the near post nodding deliveries away was but there is no excuse for every corner being a minefield to navigate and every conceded goal being literally within the vicinity of the goal line. These aren't even 50-50 battles the attacker wins. All you do is touch it from under the bar.

I think we needed to get one goal back to apply pressure in the second half. Son was the big one and when he messes up a clear opening like that it is not our day.
Surely the Arse player backed into Vic...that's legal ? Vic needs a decent coach to get him to dominate the box imo

The thing is to say we are doing really well at 80% of the game we need control and more importantly goals on the scoresheet, we had that at the start of the season but seem to progressively be getting worse as the season wears on.

i put this down to injuries making it a stop start season but its quite worrying how stupid and lethargic we have been at the back when we have had two weeks off.

I think that's partly down to what you're saying about injuries, but also that other teams have plenty of games on record to analyze our playstyle, realize our GK and team in general is weak from set pieces, and that we play basically a 2-3-5 formation which leads plenty of space behind in wide areas they can exploit. Which means we need to develop other ways of playing so that our tactics can't be totally nullified before the game even starts. We need to be a bit more unpredictable.

Cool game, really enjoying it, great times, really love Spurs, definitely not just a major source of depression or anything.

Just can't get over how bad we look defensively. The set pieces.....it's as though the coaching staff have a complete blind spot for it and think nothing is wrong. Always worrying when it's the same thing happening over and over again. Right now, getting a corner against us is nearly as good as getting a goal.

We have posed them problems but when we defend like a team on Hackney Marshes it completely undermines anything we do attacking wise.

We've had some spectacularly bad luck, and that was in no way a 0-3 half, but weeks/months old problems have again been at the fore.

The football has become hesitant and imprecise and blunt, when before it was crisp and accurate and threatening.

We again get pillaged on a simple counter and concede.

Hopeless defending at set pieces. Both outfield set-up and the keeper.

It's just rinse and repeat at the moment.

Going to go in two-footed with a niche unpopular assessment.... but the goalkeeper isn't going to last the journey if we want to get where the club and manager claim we want to be. Goal 1 largely comes about because initially he feels the pressure with the ball at his feet, Goal 3 simply has to be his to claim and yet he gets weakly pinned in the goal net, again. The first bit of the season was refreshing to see a very solid shot-stopper, but it's clear he's got substantial weaknesses - average at best with ball at feet, and totally in a pickle on the set pieces.

Those four incidents are so poor on the replays.
Our Keeper and defenders on those corners, woeful.
And, to make it worse, that was a penalty. Var should see that as more than, ‘minimal contact’ or recognise that that is all it needs to unbalance a player.
so poor all round.

Just heard on Sky that it's the first time since 1959 that we've been 3-0 down at home to Arsenal at halftime.

Even in the dark days of the mid 90's/early 00's we were never this bad.

****ing embarrassing.

He had to go down immediately. Staggering forwards to try get the ball gives the implication there was not much force or it was just an accidental coming together.

This is why players make a meal of challenges though so we can't have it both ways.
He shouldn’t have to go down. This is exactly what fucking VAR is for!! And the fact he didn’t makes it even more of a penalty

Just saw the goals again, don't think Vicario covered himself in glory for them. Needs to be much stronger

Because people think having the lions share of possession means we've been the better team when in reality that's just fucking nonsense.
They have done a number on us, no doubt.

Squeeze the centre and punish on the break and at set plays. They're playing exactly how they wanted to

Looking at them the third goal should definitely not stand. Ridiculous how goalies have been made free hits on corners these days. Arsenal player take charge backwards and push the goalie out of action.
Vic should have worked this out now, he needs to move and not just stay behind the blockers
