Seeing Maddison in a protective boot on the sidelines was an unexpected concern. I would've thought he'd be past the stage of that being necessary by now unless he's needed to have surgery.

When we had everyone fit, Ange did say (and more than once) that we needed to be better in the final third of the pitch.

No more evidence is required after today's woeful finishing.

Would be amazed if we didn't try to add a forward in January.

shit like this makes me realise spurs will never win a title.

We get a decision go our way and all the ex Liverpool or Arsenal pundits and people in the game highlight their injustices.

So we end up getting the raw end of the deal.

Look at when we were up against Leicester, they were getting away with fouls and we were getting the Battle of the Bridge where the officials let Chelsea get away with snide fouls.

Its just not meant to happen for us.
It does seem to be the way matches are going at the minute. We are out-footballing most teams at the beginning, so when they realise they can't out-football us, they start roughing us up.

So far in 2 matches like that, particularly Chelsea and today, the consequences of the game becoming more scrappy have gone against us, and opponents have had little consequence. It's fine margins and luck, but that's what happened.

Vs. Chelsea we get 2 sent off, key players injured and they get away with elbowing players in the face etc.

Today a rough challenge from Cash takes out our best midfielder, who was literally running the game until that point. Then Emery takes him off at half time ffs, so we have no consequential benefit for some serious foul play against us.

The evidence that the league is corrupt is undisputable, so I would worry less about winning titles and enjoy the ride. Ange is class and we can win something under him, but we'll need a bit more luck than we're getting currently.

10 unbeaten quickly followed by devastation.

We won't win a game again before January
What? We just completely out played one of the best teams in the league with 10 players out injured.
Next game we have sarr and biss back, game after that romero. The situation looks miles better.
Gio has proved he’s very good and provides creativity, so he’s only really Davies we are carrying for the West Ham game.
We’ll win more games of course we will

So we have a really talented and creative player in Donley. But Skipp with 1 goal and 0 assists in like 60 games gets the chance when we need someone creative.

I don't care if he's uproven, he can't be worse than Skipp. And I don't dislike Skipp, its not his fault.
Newcastle had a 17 year old on the pitch yesterday and dominated the Chelsea midfield

Let's take a step back and remember why we're on this journey with Ange. Just because we had a solid run of 10 unbeaten doesn't automatically make us title contenders.

Today's match showcased a few shortcomings, but that doesn't mean the process under Ange is flawed. We're building something here, and setbacks are part of the game. It's easy to get carried away when things are going well, but let's not forget the bigger picture.

Ange is instilling a style of play that, on another day, could have easily translated into a victory against Villa. We've seen glimpses of brilliance and the potential for more. Trusting the process means understanding that progress doesn't always follow a straight line.

So, despite the disappointment of today's result, let's stay patient and back Ange. It's about building a sustainable foundation for success, not just short-term glory. Our time will come, and in the meantime, let's stand by our team and trust in the process.

In the past, my 11-year-old son was devastated after losses, but with Ange at the helm, he's learning to trust the process. There's a newfound optimism that goes beyond the scoreline. We're standing by our team and embracing the journey under Ange's guidance. COYS

Still the same make shift defence though.

It's tragic that we don't get protected from refs as much as other teams do, when we from the club down to the manager and players are probably more respecting of the officials than any others. Not justice at all..

The fact Ange got such a make shift squad, with 2 back up FBs and a centre back pairing, a completely new midfield that have never played together AND had us playing some of the best football we've played all season is an achievement in itself.

Too many people are looking at the scoreline and forgetting the actual performance. Final ball and finishing were no where near good enough today. Should have been 3 clear at half time.

I'm not worried as it's one of those days you get in football, had we created little and looked poor in general then i'd be a bit concerned, but it was the total opposite.

Now here's a hypothetical question. If we keep losing let's say the next 5-6 games despite showing attacking intent, will the pressure be on Ange? Or let's say if the losing streak goes beyond 10 games, what will your thoughts be?
Stick with him.

It’s more about the performances rather than the results atm. The players are buying into the philosophy so we are all good. We’ll lose next week as well no doubt but there is no need to panic. We are going to become a great team.

Result aside I honestly don’t know how 1 we didn’t get a pen for that blatant elbow in the face which wasn’t masked at all and 2 how Cash didn’t get a second yellow. I know ref’s and VAR swings both ways but there’s actually no defending ether.
