That's got to be one of the most unfair results against us that I remember seeing based on performance. Lads worked their bollocks off and played some top class footy.

Arguably the best we have played under Postecoglou over 90 minutes. We're going to be a top side once we strengthen the squad and get the key lads back fit.

Against City I would go with the same back four. Hopefully Sarr is back so we can play him Gio and Bissouma.

I can understand not starting them I can't understand why they aren't getting minutes at the end when we are chasing the game. If I'm Jamie Donley doing what I am in the 21's and for England, I'm wondering if I'm ever getting the chance when Skipp is coming on in front of me when we have to score.
If they are good enough there old enough

Not sure today is evidence that these players aren't good enough. Bentancur and Gio both played very well. The others have proved their worth as squad players. We've deserved to win against 5th in the table just not taken the chances. On another day we win this easily
Yeah and then Villa took out one of those as him and Lo Celso were controlling the game

First time I can say Ange wasn't brave enough.
Again, like I kept saying, the players he's trusting are not repaying back the faith. Hojbjerg won't be playing any time soon if when sometime we are lucky enough to have our proper midfielders back...

People can complain we're too naive or they can complain we bought Skipp on; you really can't do both.

Ange said our squad isn’t deep enough or robust enough, for now we will have results like this but the performance was as good as it could’ve been.

On to the next.

I appreciate the willingness to play attacking football. Those subs completely contrasted Ange’s philosophy, it’s like we were settling for the loss? I’d expect it from Conte but not Ange.
Where did we settle for the loss? I saw Hojbjerg playing forward passes and we were creating chances...

Tough pill to swallow that one.
Created so many chances but very Wasteful up top.
And that spine in the second half made it look like we were playing with a tired 10 men.
Chelsea legacy making November and December very difficult

The subs were awful, taking off Lo Celso, who is probably the only creative midfielder we have left. Sorry, as much as I adore Ange, but I think he got it all wrong. On another note, I am beginning to think the club is cursed. The amount of injuries is laughable and now adding Bentancur to the ever-growing list.

On the other hand we battered Villa with a makeshift team. It's a good sign.

I'm gutted though as the mouthy Villa fans will see this as proof of how massive they are. Everyone is desperate for us to fall apart and it's a kick in the gut when we lose in this manner.

I can't help but to feel bitter in how fortunate our rivals are that we've been hit so hard with injuries. It's hard to preach it because that's just a part of football, but I hope they bloody enjoy it whilst it lasts. We were playing really special stuff prior and were rightly top of the league IMO.

I thought people wanted us to lose whilst playing attacking football (which Wolves aside we have done). What do you want? We have a whole team unavailable basically. Don't know what else people expect.
Not a go at ange. But going into the season with two cbs, one of whom is a brainless idiot, was a huge risk

Not sure how we lost that!
Ok, where do we start?
Our defence was very poor because we didn’t buy that extra CB we all knew would be needed as we know Ramero is prone to Red card. We have our most creative player in Maddison not available through Injury but the biggest failure is we have Defoe teaching Son how to beat the offside trap………….I‘ll get my coat 😂😂😂😂

I think Ange put him on because he finaly saw that Villa had change at half time and they took over the midfield completly, Problem is that Villa change the tactic, Ange played the same byt just with Skip. It is a very very strange move.

we have a lot of games with many of our best players out, it will be a long season.
